Sunny lovely apartment 60 meters from the metro

We truly loved the layout of the apartment, it was so lovely in many ways from the style to the ease of walking to many restaurants and bars close by, the kitchen was perfect and was able to cook a lot there many nights to (many small and mini markets in walking distance for all you needed). It felt so big and lovely a peaceful with a simple and lovely balcony to enjoy the afternoon sun, we look forward to coming back to this place as he had all we needed and more - this is a really amazing place to stay - the hosts were amazing always sending a whats up to make sure we are OK and if there was anything more the could do. All round fantastic

There was no breakfast. The location was not bad. Near the metro and near a lot of restaurants.

The 2 streets going to the apartment and going away from the metro were a bit concerning for me being a woman alone. However, in the opposite direction it was really fine. Walking to the apt at night was not a comfortable feeling though. Im sure that once the buildings are renovated all will be fine. The apt was super clean and as it was described. There were only 3 steps and then the elevator which was great! I did wish they had a microwave and or a toaster. There were no instructions for the washing machine. It was all in Greek. I just decided to put it on the lowest setting for washing and hoped for the best. lThey were always responsive when I had a question.

Clean and spacious, good location to the attractions and metro line to the airport. Though I was later recommended to take buss as it was cheaper. Metro costs 9€ with no family or children discount to/from airport. Good sleep comfort. Wash up liquid and sponge available. Soap and toilet paper as well.

There were no salt, pepper or oil in the kitchen which I would expect in a short term rentals. And no shampoo, or it was not marked as shampoo. Be aware of nightlife right outside on Saturdays evenings. It might be noisy quite late.

It would be difficult not to concur with previous reviews about this accommodation. Whereas you could be forgiven for taking the view that the area it is in is run down the accommodation itself is lovely. Spacious, clean, modern and well placed for accessing all the sites Athens offers. The lift is very helpful especially with heavy cases. The Metro station is a few minutes’ walk. Great value for money is the 5-day travel ticket. At only 8.20euro it represents true value for money and getting around Athens is easy, all you need to be able to do is read an underground map. Be aware the Metro does get very busy and crowded. There are several restaurants in easy reach and close to the Metro station. The bonus of Gazi is that it didn’t appear to be populated by tourists, therefore we were not paying tourist prices. The restaurants are all good value for money and there are many to choose from. The owner was available and made contact throughout our stay to ensure we were ok and if we needed anything.

Although the owners have given warning of potential ‘noise’ from a nightclub opposite the apartment, sadly the information provided is disingenuous. This is the information provided by the owners on Booking.com: Light sleepers warning: “From mid-October until end of March, on Friday and Saturday nights there is a bar opposite the road which is open. Those with light sleep may find it disturbing so please take this into account before booking!” This could not be further from the truth. We arrived on 30 April. On Friday night (2 May) the music started at around 2300 and continued until 0700 the following morning. When I say ‘music’ this was a constant ‘thumping’ making it impossible to sleep. Along with the queues waiting to get in, people outside smoking and talking loudly, it all made for a night of impossible sleep. We had seen this information before booking and as we were outside those dates did not consider it to be an issue. Had we been aware that these dates were inaccurate and that the music would be at such a level we would not have booked here. For us this is sadly the deal breaker. I am not a light sleeper. If you can sleep through this level of noise, then the rest will be fine. This matter has been raised in other reviews.
