Villa Proto Helidoni - A cozy beachfront Villa

Es war ein traumhafter Urlaub. Morgens aufwachen und direkt das Meer vor der Tür haben! Man konnte einfach rausgehen, sich auf die Terrasse setzen und das Geräusch der Wellen lauschen. Unglaublich schön. Zudem war Nikos total sympathisch und wir haben uns dadurch sehr wohl gefühlt.

Das einzige was nicht perfekt war, waren die hellhörigen Räume. Auch mit geschlossen Türen konnte man nachts alles hören. Auch das Badezimmer hatte eine Tür, die „offen“ war und man leider alles hören könnte.

Die Lage in der Bucht direkt am Strand ist genial. Die riesige Terrasse mit direktem Strandzugang und den Palmen ist perfekt, um den Blick aufs Meer zu genießen. Die Bucht ist auch super zum Schnorcheln - viele Fische und interessante Unterwasserwelt. Die Villa ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und man hat alles was man braucht. Unser Host hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen, war super nett und unkompliziert.

Un petit paradis

The villa is uniquely situated with a wonderful view and immediate access to the sea, which is full of sea life. We loved the impression when we first arrived. Water, olive oil from hosts olives, and fruits were available. Another highlight was the beach bar, just a short walk along the beach.

There were unfortunately several things we did not like. The washing machine smelled and was not clean, and the dishwasher filters were very dirty. The shower drain was blocked, I cleaned it myself. The outdoor shower was not working. Inside and around the villa, there were small steps (10–15 cm) without visual marking, which felt unsafe. The dryer seemed second-hand, with transport tape still on it. The coffee maker (a batch coffee maker type) had a broken lid, and the coffee and tea provided were of the lowest quality. At the beach, although there are small pebbles, there was no way to rinse them off before going inside. Finally, we were traveling with a toddler and were disappointed to find a cigarette end under the sofa. The host told us to contact him if anything was wrong, but we did not, as we are very private people and solving issues would have meant someone coming into the villa, which we did not want. We are not saying the host was unwilling to help, but the villa should have been properly prepared in the first place.
