CASA GRINDA

The breakfast (from the restaurant below) was fabulous! Super tasty, fresh meal, with a very kind waitress. It really exceeded my expectations! The location - it is in the historic city centre, so everything was reachable by foot. The room was small, but actually it would serve the purpose (family travelling with 2 kids).

When we arrived, a DJ just started playing in front of our window. We checked in late, so no receptionist was available, but form restaurant they explained that it was an event organized by the city council, so the hotel had nothing to do with it. That's fair (would have appreciated, however a heads up from the hotel, just to be aware that the loud music will be until 22:30). To escape from the noise, we went for a walk with the kids, and had the AC on, with no specific settings, just on Auto. When we got back, the bed below the AC (mounted on a wall, in the room), was flooded. We somehow managed to not sleep in water and next day at checkout the receptionist was questioning us about the water... She said, we would have known that ACs are not to be put on Auto, otherwise it purs water. Well, pardon me not being technical, but then they should at least leave a notice about such settings for the next turists. Also, we found one of the window blind/curtains broken, and again she was questioning us what have we done. I said we did not do anything special, but let them down and we found it as such. I usually do before and after pictures, and it's even visible on the very first picture that the window can hardly be opened because of that curtain (on all the windows). So all this experience was quite frustrating.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Grinda in Sibiu and would definitely recommend it! The room was very nice, clean, comfortable, and had excellent air conditioning, which was especially appreciated. The breakfast was also a real highlight — fresh, tasty, and with a very good selection to start the day. The owner was extremely welcoming, friendly, and helpful, which made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The location is also excellent, within easy walking distance of the city centre and the main attractions. Overall, a lovely place to stay in Sibiu with great hospitality, comfortable rooms, a delicious breakfast, and a very convenient location. We would happily stay here again!

The breakfast was exceptional—we really loved both the food and the atmosphere. The rooms are small, but comfortable and very clean. The hotel's location is outstanding, making it perfect for exploring the city center. It's situated in a beautiful area, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

This didn't bother us in any way, but we did notice that the upholstery on the armchairs in both the rooms and the hallway was a little worn. The carpet in the rooms also showed some signs of wear. Other than that, everything was clean and well maintained.

Good location

Mess with payment and booking.(booking.com). Eventually we paid twice for the one night!
