Our host, Yiannis, was so kind and welcoming and it was a pleasure to chat with him. He gave us a tour of the property and detailed recommendations of the nearby beaches to go to, places to try out for dinner or for lunch. We had asked if we could borrow masks, snorkels and towels for a swim and he kindly lent us his son's old equipment. He was very responsive whenever we had a question and ensured that we had a lovely stay. Thank you very much Yiannis!

Alles war perfekt!
Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber, gemütlich und gut ausgestattet. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich den Gastgeber – er war rund um die Uhr erreichbar, unglaublich freundlich, hilfsbereit und sehr kommunikativ. Was wir brauchten, war sofort vorbereitet oder sogar für uns besorgt – dieser Service war einfach außergewöhnlich. Wir haben tolle Tipps für Ausflüge, Restaurants und Strände bekommen. Man hat sich sofort willkommen und gut betreut gefühlt. Eine absolute Empfehlung – wir kommen gerne wieder!

A very enjoyable stay, just wished I could have stayed longer. Friendly and helpful owners. Tasteful decor in old Cretan style. Clean, peaceful garden setting, comfortable bed. Eleas Thea just up the road is the perfect place to eat.

Absolutely everything!
The moment I stepped in I felt in love with that place.
We were looking for a “remote” place to stay - a typical Cretan house for our short stay. Some place quiet but not far from Chania either. And we found it here at Laini Guest House.
This place has been renovated to keep the original spirit. Very precisely decorated with a soul. Excellent taste, very neat and tidy.
There is everything you need for a short or long stay - fully equipped kitchen, dinning area, very comfortable bed, nice bathroom and very nice outdoor seating.
House has two separate entrances - 1. for the bigger apartment and 2. for a smaller one - and can be used for a big group of people or a big family. I personally love this concept.
Yiannis is a wonderful host and even though his schedule was busy, he came to say hello and shared his story with us. He send us lot of tips for restaurant and beaches and we just loved the local taverna he recommended.
We will definitely stay here again - I simply love this place and the spirit it has.
