Himalayan Hostel

Locations, very close to train station and reasonable distance from the bus station. Curtains on the side of the beds for privacy.

No curtains on the end so still felt a bit open.

Location was great, only a 5 minute walk to the train station. The guy on reception was very friendly. Kitchen space is small but perfect for cooking. Hairdryer in women’s bathrooms. Air conditioning in rooms. Big locker for each person beside their bed.

There was a leak in the air conditioning unit right beside my bed, so I had a bucket with dripping water right beside me all night. To get to the balcony area, you have to walk through the women’s bathrooms. When I was using them, a man walked through to go there. I did not love this as a female solo traveller that men could just walk through the women’s bathrooms!

It was fine as a hostel - quite annonymous, but had everything I needed for one night. It was a room with quite a few people, but I managed to sleep fine. The bathroom was super clean, had plenty of stalls and the shower booths had a nice little changing area which I found useful. The kitchen was also useful, I could keep some things in the fridge and make myself tea/breakfast.

The latch on the locker was pretty flimsy, and it was difficult to put things in/out without making a lot of noise - same for the door to the room. I appreciated that there were towels offered, but the way they were hung on the bedframe felt a bit unhygenic.

Location is in central. You will have access to go everywhere

Staff. They are not helpful. They speak rudely
