Great location, but the host is untruthful.
The location is great, remote but still accessible, a good place if you need to get away from the world. The old house is theoretically well adapted for a modern stay.
The host chose to lie/ misinform about 2 things: internet quality and water supply. We needed to work online for a day and asked in advance if that was possible - the answer was positive. But in the end we needed to travel to the nearest town and spend the day in cafes....The quality of the internet signal is slim, ok for basic internet use, not for remote online work. The evening that we arrived there was no more running water available, due to the drought apparently. We found out from a neighbour that our situation was not the first, there were also other guests with this problem.... So, there was no backup water available at the property, the indoor modern bathroom was useless at this point and bonus!...we had very little bottled water with us. Good that we had to drive to town for the internet anyway, so we went shopping for water.... Again, we had asked in advance about water supply and water quality and were lied to that there was running water available and that it was good to drink. We found out from the same neighbour that the village actually has a water tank that is filled in case of need every few weeks and that it would be better to drink bottled water..... We left only one day early because we had planned the retreat and had no other option. For the duration of the stay it was very hot and we needed to towel bathe. We did get the money back for that one night, but the attitude of the owner was very lacking, as he kept trying to minimize the discomfort and hide the lies.

Excellent getaway destination if you want to disconnect
The rooms are spacious with very comfy beds. The kitchen is very small and simple, and it's fully equipped with everything you need for a good meal prep. The bathroom is pretty big in size, and has plenty of towels and supplies. The whole atmosphere surrounding the house is amazing. It has a big cellar to keep groceries and drinks nice and fresh. The yard has a generous amount of space, pets will love just running around. There's also a dedicated place for a bonfire which is awesome!

An amazing traditional Ruamana house
We were looking for a place away from the big cities and in the middle of the mountains, and it was just what we found. It is a traditional house with the comforts one needs to spend a few days of tranquility and relaxation. The large garden that it has is perfect and is equipped with a barbecue and a place to make a campfire. The neighbor was the one who received us and was very kind and attentive to us. It is true that the road to get to the house is between paved and unpaved, we could go with a normal car and we arrived without a problem, I think it is part of the experience of arriving at a house far from everything. We will be back, we loved it!

Exceptional
It was one time experience for the kids (and also for us :-)), The house is from the 18 th century, but there are modern showers and toilets and the needed equipment for kitchen. Outdoor was very nice, we had our breakfast under the apple tree, and dinner around the fire, the kids had lots of fire. The host is far away, but his neigbour was so nice and helpfull though it was difficult to communicate :-). We will definitely come again if we will be in this region. Thank you Sergio for everything! 🙏
There was nothing we did not like

Disappointing
I have mix feeling about this property. We got there late at night, after about an hour so drive from Hunedoara. Because of the road conditon, darkness and that lack of internet signal, we felt like we were not going to reach our destination. We got the sensation that we were in a mashup movie between "Blair Withch Project" and "Wrong turn". There are portions of road which are really narrow and two cars cannot pass one besides the other. Also at some point there is no asphalt, just dirt road with rocks. The house is located in a really small village, with like 11 people living there. At the property we were met by the neighbour as he is the person who is taking care of the place. About the house, do not expect to find a modernized old house. Except the bathroom, which is tastefully updated, all the rooms are really dated. It smell like a mix of old moldy wood with old cloths. There is no key to lock the door. Because the windows do not have mosquito nets there were a lot of small flies and night butterflies. A small corner on the hallway poses as kitchen, with a sink and two burner gas stove. The pans and pots were all stacked under the sink. There is no microwave. The fridge is in the basement and you have to get outside the house to get to it. The furniture is old, but the beds are comfortable. There is no TV but you have access to internet. I'll add some suggestions for the future travelers: 1. Do not go there during the night. The pitch black environment, the rocky road will give you the constant feeling you are on the wrong way. 2. A one night stay doeasn't worth the trouble. 3. Check the weather forecast. The road passes through the woods and there are big chances for trees to fall. Also if the power/internet is gone, there is nothing much to do there. 4. For long stays, get food as there is no shops or drugstores.
