Mountain retreat

Everything perfect. The rooms are big and clean with very comfortable beds. View from some of the bedrooms is spectacular. Bathrooms are clean and there is one also in the living area which is a plus. Kitchen very well equipped with all cooking facilities and cleaning products. The living area is big, big table were to stay.Also board games are available. Outside is a barbacue zone and the view from the terrace is extremely nice. Direct view of the mountains. Also very close to mountain tracks if you want. A plus would be that it is not located on the main road and it is very quite. Access road is through the forest, but is ok, not to worrie.

Great location and a spacious house with all facilities. Ideal fora retreat in the nature with your friends/family. The hosts were very friendly and everything went smooth. Great value for the money, totally recommend.

Great vacationhouse for people who love wild nature and hicking.

The Retezat Mountain area is beautiful, with great hiking opportunities. The house is situated on a hill and has a beautiful view of the mountains. As tourism is not yet heavily developed you don't see many people in the mountains and you can enjoy the calmness and silence of nature. The house is nice, well equipped and the owner is a friendly man and very helpful. All the Romanian people we met were kind and helpful. This was our first time in Romania but I’m sure we will go back some day!

For us, a group of 6 men looking for a bit of adventure it was not a problem but you should be aware that the house is only reachable via a dirt road (a bit rocky) and to go to the house you have to climb some stairs (look at the foto of the front of the house, this might be a problem for older or disabled persons.) Romania is a large country, so take notice that if you want to explore you will have to do some driving around.
