Safari Tent with Hot Tub in heart of Snowdonia

The location was brilliant, close to Badmouth, and in a really nice campsite. The hot tub was the best! It was easy to get started (heat using a wood burner fire, and it was nice and private.

The heating provisions weren't adequate, one small electric heater doesn't go a long way to heating up an entire tent. We were rugged up in several of our own layers, and the host's message that suggested taking additional blankets was only sent on the day we arrived, after we had already left home. There were two hot water bottles for 4 people. Wouldn't take much time, cost, or effort to throw in some extra blankets and a better heating source. The gas bottle was practically empty when we arrived. The host did quickly swap it out so no big issues, except the hot water was still not hot - I suspect an issue with the connection between the bottle and the tap.

2 adults and 3 children staying for 2 nights, we had the best time! Tent is based on a hill so lovely views over the site and mountain backdrop, get the sun all afternoon too. Beds were lovely and comfy and tent was very clean. We headed straight to torrent walk as couldn't check in until 4pm, took a drive to Barmouth which was only 30mins away. Campsite it's self was really quite, showers very clean, shop sold fire and charcoal for hot tub and bbq/pit. Children loved rolling down the hill and going to see the horses as no one was on the pitches below.

My wife and my child we spent a 3 night break at the Safari Tent with Hot Tub near Dolgellau in august and it was a special way to explore Snowdonia. The location is excellent – the tent is on a hillside at the Torrent Walk glamping site, so you get sweeping views of the mountains and countryside . It’s convenient for local activities like Zip World, Coed y Brenin and Barmouth beach plus a fridge‑freezer, microwave, toaster and sink comfy beds with bedding and towels (with spares) and thoughtful touches like an electric heater and hot‑water bottles for cold evenings The private outside toilet and barbecue area were big bonuses After a day of walking the hills, soaking in the wood‑fired hot tub beneath the stars was a real treat, and there was plenty of wood provided to keep it going .

the light in the toilet didn’t work at night, more power sockets for hair dryers would be useful.
