We loved the location, just out of the hustle bustle. Watching the gondoliers working through the canal below from the rooftop deck in the evening. Cafes and restaurants close by. Close to the Alilaguna and water buses. Our host, Elena, is beautiful and very helpful.
There wasn't anything that we didn't like.

We loved that it was a family home and not a hotel. Loved our stay with the gracious Elena in her family home. From Fondamente Nova to her house there were no steps with our luggage and not far. We expected steps in an old home so there was no surprise, what surprised us was the beautiful interior and delightful bedroom. The area on landing has a small table setting for each of the 2 rooms. Only packaged food can be provided in the home and a roll with jam was all we needed before setting off for the day. Elena was helpful with suggestions and also better than google maps in getting places! (Her tiramasu is amazing)

The stay was amazing. You feel like you are in an okdj castle. The host is extremely nice. The only downside I would say is having to go up and down stairs but id you are in decent shape. I would 100% recommend
