Location and view were Perfect. Premises lovely.

Beds which were very uncomfortable and obviously made for short term hostel stays, but charging Hotel prices. Breakfast was very Basic. Staff were inexperienced and took a long time to problem solve.

Staff is super friendly and helpful. Bunks are comfortable with their own outlet and light, and I appreciated having a locker for my stuff.

It got super stuffy at night and the woman’s bathroom was very hot. It was a bit off the beaten path but nothing that a pilgrim can’t handle.

The staff assisted me when I had issues getting into the building, it was friendly atmosphere full of Camino pilgrims

It was like a half hour walk from town center, and Santiago de Compostela doesn’t really have Ubers or busses that make it easy to walk around. There was also no A/C and just one big shared bathroom per gender. The check in time window was also quite limited

The hostel is located a bit outside the city, but it's quiet and more or less surrounded by greenery. Bus line 5 takes you to the city center super quickly for just 1 euro. The hostel has a fairly modern interior. The woman at the reception was friendly.

What we really didn’t like was that most of the hostel is located underground — at least the common area and our room. Completely in the basement and without windows, which we found pretty spooky. It might be a good idea to request an above-ground room when booking, as it seems there are some. The sanitary facilities were quite dirty in the evening and still the next morning, but that’s probably more due to the guests and the overall anonymity. The laundry room is quite large and feels more like one you’d find in a public swimming pool.
