Villas of Kamalii 40

The property is very well kept and well stocked with everything we needed. We appreciated the responsiveness of the host, the beach gear and the laundry facilities. The host really thought of all the details a family might need - plastic containers to carry food to the beach, a cooler, water filter, etc. This was one of the best stocked properties we've stayed at. The layout of the property was perfect for our family to spread out and enjoy our downtime. We loved the balcony, patio and views. The location was perfect for day trips to Hanalei, a quick trip to the grocery store or to explore south.

The roosters were very loud, but that is not the fault of the host :) We forgot our white noise machine which would have helped blunt the noise.

The villa was large and provided good separation for adult children. The kitchen was large and easily fit 3 or 4 people at the same time. They provided containers for storing leftovers, which is lacking in many rental units. The property was beautifully landscaped. Be aware that the closest road to the house is closed at 9pm. There is another way to the home but you have to back track the first time you hit the locked gate.

I had to fight to get more trash bags. There were only 2 at the unit when we arrived, and we were told to take the trash out daily. The first response I got was that there were plenty, go look again. Eventually, they did drop off more. They never delivered the additional toilet paper I requested. One of the bathrooms did not have an extra roll and of course that roll ran out during the middle of the night. I could have done without the early morning rooster. There isn't any shampoo, conditioner, or body wash provided. There isn't any A/C in the third bedroom. You aren't suppose to leave the A/C on when you are away, so you will always come back to a warm house.
