The Villa is romantically set on a little hilltop and a 100-200m away from the tiny road with only very few cars passing. It is very quite and the perfect spot to re-energize. At night there are several lights on the building and in the garden. If you leave for dinner and come back in the dark, this makes for such a nice view of the property. The garden is huge, there are 4-5 different hangout areas on the property which are all very cutely designed. The garden and the pool is yours for the entire stay and not a shared one. We enjoyed this very much and was one of our key search criteria. The place offers an old pizza oven, which is really fun to try out. I recommend using the offer from the owner to have a pizzaiolo showing you how it's done! There is a vegetable garden from which you are allowed to take what you want. We took the tomatoes and let me tell you they were amazing. I haven't had such intense tomatoes since 20 years or more it seems. The owner is sooooo friendly. She stayed available for our arrival at a late hour. She also responded quickly to any of our questions. When she came by every couple of days to water the plants, she always asked if it was ok for us and it was always a nice chat with her and a nice play with her lovely dog. A highly recommendable stay! Would always come back. Thank you so much!

Unfortunately the season was almost over and that's why I assume the pool was not regularly cleaned anymore. Anyways, the owner was very friendly and I am 100% sure it would have been cleaned if we'd asked for it. Towards the end of our stay the weather started turning bad with rain. This is when insects want to come inside badly. With an old house there is always some gaps and cracks where they can find their way inside. Hence, we had some moths and a total count of six scorpions inside over a few days. Consider the scorpions are not poisoning, at least not more than a bee or vesp.
