Verbalj apartment with swimming pool

This was a great place to stay in the Kotor area, being close to the all amenities and sites with an exceptional view of the bay. Darko was a fantastic host, quick to respond to questions and we throughly enjoyed our stay which included some amazing sunsets over the bay from the property, and some generously offered organic produce from the garden. Re days out, we took boat trips in Kotor Bay and on Skadar Lake (which was breathtakingly beautiful). We also took on the 1350 steps up to Kotor's St John's fortress for more great views and visited Herceg Novi taking the little car ferry across the bay. Great restaurants in Kotor old town and beyond (Bonazza/Moments/Pomodorino) and the mussel and oyster bay restaurant Pescatorekotor (just outside Perast) was a lunch time highlight- Overall, Montenegro was casual, safe and very welcoming!-Thank you Darko for a wonderful time.

We loved our stay with Darko. Him & Rajko couldn’t do enough for us. Rajko came by most days but mainly just said hello & asked if there was anything we needed, and helped where he could. They provided us with some lovely local wine, bottled water & there was even some limes & apples behind the property which we enjoyed. Amenities were great, it has a washing machine, oven & coffee machine. There was pods for us to use and some basic supplies which we made use of. The pool was lovely, a good size. The views are amazing and is an ideal place for a beautiful sunset. We also loved watching planes land and take off, as you can see Tivat from the property. We were cautious about not hiring a car, but as the place is only around 15 minutes from Kotor, taxi’s were around €25 each way, which we didn’t think was bad. Kotor drivers knew of the Dub area so we never struggled to get back to the apartment. It cost around €60 to Budva & around €30 to Tivat. There are lots of local taxi numbers online, we mainly used Red Taxi’s. Darko was on hand by WhatsApp to contact whenever we had any questions or queries. We are already looking to return to Montenegro & we would be more than happy to stay with Darko again.

The shower holder was broken, so it sometimes made showering a bit tricky. An easy fix which I’m sure he’ll rectify. There is no aircon in the bedroom but as long as you leave the bedroom door open, the airflow is not too bad.
