Villa Ava

The place itself is lovely- had absolutely everything needed and was extremely comfortable. Nenad is a brilliant host who couldn't be more helpful. He was extremely responsive, offered recommendations and even arranged for us to take a trip on his cousins boat that was a far better experience than we would've had with a tour company. Property is great and more than met expectations but Nenad made the trip better. More generally, I'd really recommend Stari Bar for anyone interested in history/archaeology and with access to a car - fascinating and a welcome change of pace from the crowds of Kotor. The cable car right round the corner from the property is great too, if on the pricey side.

Nothing - perhaps the only downside to the property is the very narrow road leading up to it and the parking being tight to reverse out of, but nothing too arduous.

Lovely property - instantly felt very comfortable. Beautiful pool and nice views. Very clean and the host was helpful in communication.

Not a negative for us, but just for others to be aware of - car required as no restaurants/shops in walking distance. However, only a 10 min drive or €18 taxi into Kotor

We had an excellent 5-night stay here as a family of four. The house was exactly as shown in the photos - clean, spacious, and very well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The three air conditioners kept the house cool even on hot days and the private pool with the sun loungers was a real highlight, perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The mountain views from the property were beautiful and incredibly peaceful to wake up to every morning. We also found it to be excellent value for money compared to similar properties in the Kotor area. Nenad was a fantastic host too, very responsive and always available whenever we had a question or needed assistance.

The only thing to be aware of is that the road leading to the property is quite narrow and steep. At times, you may need to reverse to allow oncoming cars to pass. We got used to it after a couple of days, but it’s worth knowing if you’re not comfortable driving on narrow mountain roads.
