I loved everything about this accommodation. From the moment I walked in the door Dimitrios (I apologise if I haven't spelt that correctly) was more than welcoming and helped with my luggage (there are some stairs) and even allowed me to check in a little earlier. The room itself is even better than in the photos and the location was perfect for a stay in Chania. It is a short walk (around 7-8 mins with luggage) from the bus station and it is right in the old town, about a 2 min walk to the harbour. Restaurants are pretty much outside your door!! I have read reviews where people say it is noisy but I had no real problems. It is a beautiful old building and extremely charming. As for value for money, without a doubt great value for money. I would highly recommend staying there and will again if I go back to Chania.
Only wish I had stayed longer, it was so comfortable!!!!

The house is in a great location, right in the city centre. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The host was excellent, very kind and attentive, and clearly did his best to make our stay as comfortable as possible. There is also a shared balcony, which is a lovely place to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening or a coffee in the morning.
The only downside was the lack of sound insulation, which is understandable given that this is a historic building. We had particularly noisy neighbours during our stay, so we could hear quite a lot from the apartments above us. This is of course not the host’s fault, but it is something to be aware of if you are a light sleeper.

It’s a unique building and room in a perfect location, close to everything. Our host was amazing, really trying his hardest to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. He works regularly in the jewellery shop on the ground level so he easy to speak with and has excellent English.
The stairs up to the shared balcony would be a bit difficult if your mobility was restricted.
