Casa di Sale - Chianalea

The location was great. In the heart of everything and only a lovely walk to Marina and beach and up to the top town. It was very clean and comfortable. The host organised staff to meet us at the station and brought us to the Apt. So friendly and helpful. Great views .. right on the water with a great rooftop balcony.

If you are thinking of a nice rustic place to stay in Scilla, you will not go wrong choosing this place. It is a fully equipped house rather than just an apartment, and retains its charm and historic feel. The key was collected from a nearby cafe, and whilst Barbara spoke only basic English, her smile and friendliness did the job for us. The accomodation has a kitchen and small living room on the ground floor, as well as a toilet and shower before a small balcony overlooking the sea. The next floor has the double bedroom, pleanty of wardrobe space and another shower/toilet and a more spacious balcony with the same views. Above this, a large roof patio with two loungers and a large table for some al fresco dining and amaxing views both over the sea and down towards Chianalea. There are plenty of resturaunts nearby, whilst the main beach is perhaps a 10 minute steady walk. The village of Scilla itself is a stiff walk uphill but a nice place to visit to see the real Italy.

It would have been nice to see the owners to compliment them on a great property but I would not change anything, it was wonderful. Perhaps they could fix the second fridge found on the upper floor, and attach some padding to the door, you will find out yourself if like me, you are six feet tall.

Es war herrlich in diesem alten Haus Zeit zu verbringen-mit dem Rauschen des Meeres einzuschlafen-auf der unglaublichen Terrasse zu frühstücken oder den Abend bei einem Glas Wein zu genießen-daneben und rundherum das Leben der Fischer und die sehr freundlichen Menschen! Man hat im Haus alles was man braucht , es gibt ein tolles Willkommensgeschenk mit kleinen Köstlichkeiten und oben im Ort gibt es einen Supermarkt. 2mal die Woche fährt ein Gemüsewagen durch die kleinen Gassen und neben der Unterkunft gibt es die Bar Vela wo man geschmackvolle Kleinigkeiten zu essen bekommt und auch gut frühstücken kann! Barbara ist immer bereit zu helfen und immer gut erreichbar! Man kann über dem Hafen zum Strand spazieren und das türkisblaue klare Meer genießen 🤩…es war einfach herrlich dort zu sein!
