From the moment we arrive, every detail was flawless. The location couldn't be better - a property in the middle of the vineyards, with easy access and near all the essential facilities (restaurants, supermarket and pharmacy 5 minutes by car).
Our room was spacious, modern and very clean, blending modern comforts with authentic Douro charm. Breakfast was a real highlight, with local and fresh food.
The staff attention to detail and the commitment during all the stay was really appreciated. Thanks Marcelo and Carla - you are the best hosts that we met in our trip.
I loved all the stay. Only a recommendation to other guests - if you visit Douro region, you really need to rent a car to visit in detail all the places. Quinta das Susandas has one of the main train station very near - more or less 5 minutes by car - but if you have your own car, it will really improve your stay.

I stayed in several different wine estates in Douro region, and without a doubt this was the best one. The rooms were extremely comfortable, very well maintained, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The landscape is so beautiful - waking up to that view over Douro valley is something truly special.
Staff were very friendly!
I visited during the winter. I'm sure that in summer this place must be even more beautiful. Still, it was a memorable experience and a place I would love to return. I highly recommend it.

Excellent property with very friendly hosts - its the best way to describe Quinta das Susandas.
Very well located, near all the facilities and with a large parking space to the car. Very comfy beds, large rooms and delicious breakfast. We also dinner in the property and we enjoyed all the food.
Nothing! Even the relations price/quality is perfect. I will recommend this hotel to my friends. Next time I will bring my daughter, definitely she will enjoy

- Room was very clean
- Nice & healthy breakfast options
- The main helper (cleaner, in the kitchen, etc) was very nice and attentive
- Very far from everything else in the Douro, difficult to reach
- Not much happening around
- Main infinity pool was not open for most of our stay
- Owner not always very nice
- No dinner available if late check-in (have to organize 24 hours before)
