SALVE holiday houses

Wir waren auf der Durchreise und haben hier für 3 Nächte ein nettes kleines, modern ausgestattetes Häuschen als Ausgangspunkt für unsere Ausflüge vorgefunden. Der Vermieter war sehr freundlich und hat uns ein Ausflugsziel in die Berge empfohlen, welches wir auch aufgesucht haben und begeistert waren.

Für die erste Oktobeberdekade war es abends schon recht frisch. Warme Sachen und Decken machten daß Draußensitzen auf der überdachten Terrasse trotzdem möglich.

Die Unterkunft liegt in einer ruhigen Gegend, trotzdem nah genug an Supermärkte, Tavernen und alles andere. Die Unterkunft hatte einen privaten Pool, moderne Möbel und war komplett renoviert. Das angenehmste von allem war der Gastgeber, der freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit.

The location was good and very peaceful. The host was very responsive and helpful, and made every effort to ensure that we were completely satisfied. The green decorative shrubs between the two houses have grown sufficiently, making the two cottages completely private and independent from each other. The pool was cleaned daily. The cleaning of the cottage was also at a good standard. Overall, everything was very good, with only a few minor exceptions, which I will mention below.

Unfortunately, the bathroom was very small, but the bigger issue was the glass partition between the toilet and the shower, which separates the two areas. This makes the space around the toilet so limited that using it can be challenging for someone over 180 cm tall and weighing 80 kg or more. The second thing I did not like was the decking around the pool, as well as the sun loungers and their cushions. The decking is in poor condition, with some of the boards coming loose, while the sun loungers and their cushions have clearly seen a lot better days. The last thing is the bed, although I cannot really say that this would be a problem for everyone. For us, the mattress was extremely hard. The host tried to resolve the issue by bringing me a soft mattress topper, but even with it, the bed was still very uncomfortable for us. Again, this last point is a matter of personal preference.
