The hosts were helpful, but sorry to say, we found our stay ok, but probably won’t want to stay there again.

the rooms, shower etc were clean, bed was comfortable.

firstly the breakfast was ok, but looks like you get eggs, cheese, orange juice and ham costs extra, which we only found out when we were there. For the price this should be included. One of the rooms couldn’t be locked from the inside!

Recommended. We stayed just a night - could be nice also for a group working together for a few days.

Anyone interested in interior design would love this place. The rooms are spacious and skillfully renovated combining modern functionality and the charm of an old building with high ceilings. The three course meal was very good and conveniently served soon after our arrival.

Superb

We had a lovely stay at la Victorinne during our visit in France. We stayed at the room with the kitchenette. The room was good-looking, clean and just renewed. The owners were very kind and ready to help anytime with anything. The breakfast was delicious, with fresh bread, croissant, coffee and tea. Yoghurt, milk and orange juice were also optional. There is a mutual garden, with different seatings, a nice place to read a book after a long day in the forest. You can park your car in the street in front of the house or in the parking place nearby, parking is free. During your vacation you can visit the forest, the towns nearby (Valenciennes, Cambrai, Lille), ask the owners, they know a lot about the activities and they are happy to help! We can totally recommend this B&B!

Hinter einer unscheinbaren Fassade findet man eine Unterkunft zum Wohlfühlen

La Victorine ist eine kleine Mogelpackung. Die Unterkunft liegt an einer Durchgangsstraße, direkt neben Aldi in einem unscheinbaren Haus, das nur durch eine kleine Tafel am Eingang zu identifizieren ist. Wir sind auf der Suche zweimal daran vorbeigefahren. Beim dritten Mal haben wird dann sogar einen Parkplatz direkt vor dem Eingang gefunden. Die große Überraschung kommt, wenn man durch das Eingangstor geht: man findet sich in einem alten, sehr geschmackvoll und elegant gestaltetem Haus wieder. Der Empfang der Gastgeber ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, das kleine Appartement mit Küchenzeile ist zum Wohlfühlen. Wir fanden es wunderbar. Das optionale Abendessen war Hausmannskost, wie sie wohl auch die Gastgeber selbst an diesem Abend gegessen haben, einfach, aber lecker, mit regionalen Produkten und preisgerecht.

Das Frühstück war "altes Frankreich", Baguette, Croissants, etwas Brot und reichlich süßer Aufstrich, nichts, was ich als Diabetiker essen darf. Aber auch dafür hat man eine Lösung gefunden.

Accueil et confort parfait.

C’est une très belle maison de maître. La salle à manger est magnifique. La chambre doté d’une petit cuisine séparée est très confortable et très propre. Le repas à la table d’hôte avec produits locaux était très bon. Les hôtes sont très accueillants et sympathiques. Je reviendrai avec plaisir.

Een warm onthaal in een uniek en heel mooi huis.

Het huis, groot en mooi, en alhoewel gelegen aan een een vrij drukke weg toch muisstil binnenin, zeker in de kamer die aan de achterzijde van het huis lag. Ook de eigenaars/uitbaters bevielen ons, bijzonder vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

In feite niets, alles was perfect.

Mooi charmant herenhuis en vriendelijk onthaal.

Eenvoudig ontbijt, een eitje of beleg had gemogen. Ontbijtgranen maar geen melk. Niet kwalitatieve badkamer, kraan en douchekop slecht te bedienen. Geurhinder in de kamer door riolering.
