The unit was clean and had everything we needed. Having the pool off the front steps was great. The proximity to the beach wasn’t very convenient with small children. It was tasking getting back and forth to the beach especially when young children needed to use the bathroom. The original posting doesn’t mention anything about tents so when the welcome email came and said no tents allowed I emailed the manager for clarification as we have four children and an umbrella isn’t ideal. I was told again we couldn’t set up a tent but once there we found out we can actually use a tent just not within the 50 ft area in front of the boardwalk where the umbrella vendor sets up. Had I known this I wouldn’t have purchased umbrellas myself before hand. Despite those hiccups the place was lovely.

Located between Destin and pcb but closer to pcb. Very quiet.
Beach is a bit of a walk, about 10 minutes. Private access doesnt have any hose etc to rinse off, and the steps are steep so taking the cart isn't super easy.
But house is nice and pool is nice also. The decor is Wayfair gone wild lol.

We really enjoyed our stay at Happy Ours! Having the pool right outside your door was wonderful for napping little ones. The house was clean and well stocked. Make sure to bring your own beach towels and any food necessities as there was nothing in the fridge or pantry upon arrival. A small walk to the beach. There was a beach cart but we did not use it because it looked pretty rusted out and we didn’t want to get half way there and it break. Many restaurants within a 5 minute drive but nothing walkable at least with little ones. Overall a fantastic trip!

This cottage was well appointed with everything we could need - cooking tools, puzzles, bikes, grill, pool/beach toys, coffee maker, pack n play, blender, beach cart, etc. We loved getting to know the other cottage neighbors in the pool, hot tub, and during evening walks around the block. The short walk to the beach was easy and the private beach was wonderful. Also within short biking distance to Alys Beach and Seacrest shopping areas. Easy drives to Seaside and the Hub. We will definitely return!My only suggestion for guests would be to bring a few additional laundry pods, dish pods, dish sponges, and preferred toilet paper brands - we were provided with extras but we ended up having to go to the store for each of these items.
