Celini beach house

Amazingly peaceful location, directly in front of the sea with views of the sunrise. Saw no more than 6 people on the beach so it’s wonderfully private & feels like you have your own strip of sand with the property. Great restaurants within short walk & loads more within quick drive. The garden is also very private with outdoor showers, hammock and swing chair with lots of interesting visiting birds. Few broken things when we arrived like a garden umbrella and the hot tub not working, but quick response from the managing agents and quick resolution. Comfy beds, good aircon. The kitchen has enough equipment for cooking at home and a small outside bbq. But other provisions are limited - theres a washing machine but it’s unusual to not have any laundry detergent. And no bin bags for the bathrooms or kitchen, although kitchen ones were delivered when we asked.

We phoned as leaving the airport as instructed but still had no-one to meet us at the property, and waited there 15mins before being told to let ourselves in via the keysafe box (not sure why that wasn’t offered in the first place) - so might be worth asking for the keysafe code on route. It would have been nice to know gardeners were coming and roughly when so that we could plan our day trips around them as it spoils privacy and they are pretty noisy & let themselves in unannounced on 2nd visit. Some welcome info in the accomodation would have been handy, like WiFi log in, how to use the hot tub, local restaurants, etc.

Velice klidná lokalita, parádní odpočinek. Do městečka hned vedle to byla příjemná půl hodinová procházka.

We wanted a quiet location,and we were very pleased with the property. There was a little distant music and loudspeakers from a resort about 500 metres away, but it was never intrusive. For us, the best thing about the property was the beach at the bottom of the garden. Most days we saw no more than 3 or 4 people on the beach for 300 metres in either direction. The property provided sun beds and two large rectangular beach umbrellas. The water is crystal-clear. The property itself is modern, the AC works well and there is copious hot water. The kitchen is small but we found it sufficient.

Pretty much anything you want to do with regards to shopping or dining is going to involve using a car, but we didn't find it to be a problem. There is a restaurant that is about 20 minutes walk away on a main road (Angelaki Taverna), or a couple of nice places about a 30 minute walk away (Aelia Beach Tavern, Stefanos Fish Restaurant). In Gennadi, we really liked Antoni's Fish Taverna on the beach. Basically the property is quite isolated, which was exactly what we wanted. Be aware that if you visited with children they might not have any other holidaymakers to play with.
