Comfortable well furnished room in a fine old Whitby house with rather magnificent deeply carpeted stair cases. The room has excellent bathroom facilities. Nice little fridge with various soft drinks and water. Plenty of coffee, tea and fruit tea drinks plus bonus of a couple of instant porridges. Excellent free parking facilities for my car.
The walk up the hill whilst great exercise is hard on the knees when one is older.

Very spacious and well kept property. Very clean and welcoming. Lovely to have parking included and the hotel itself in a convenient location. Only a 5-10 minute walk to Whitby.
Nice touches with the stocked mini-fridge and food within the room. Bathroom was well equipped with necessities.
The mattress was slightly too soft for our liking; this was the consensus making the group booking. Some of our group mentioned feeling springs? However, this didn’t impact our sleep as we were exhausted from a day of exploring and walking.
The water temperature in the shower in one of our rooms was very hot and was difficult to change. This was passed onto the staff who said they would report it/pass it on which was nice to know.
