La Passion Hanoi Hotel & Spa

Lovely staff members, in particular Rosa and Bella, who were very enthusiastic. The room had all the facilities I really wished for. The Hoan Kiem Lake, bus stops and restaurants were all within a walkable distance. The breakfast offered good sorts of food (Western and non-Western) and healthy choices such as salads, vegetables and exotic fruits.

We had a fantastic stay at La Passion Hanoi Hotel & Spa. The location was perfect, within easy walking distance of the Old Quarter, restaurants, cafés and major attractions. The room was spotless, comfortable and well-appointed, and the breakfast offered a great variety each morning. The highlight of our stay was the exceptional hospitality from Bella, Sarah and Tom, who were incredibly friendly, attentive and always willing to help. They truly made us feel welcome and went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable stay.

There wasn’t much to fault. The room was slightly compact, and you could occasionally hear some street noise in the evening, but neither of these affected our overall experience.

We stayed here for three nights and the reception were kind enough to contact us prior to our Vietnam trip of different tour packages they had at a discounted rate for their guests. We decided to book a one day Halong Bay day cruise and it was amazing. Appreciate the staff informing us upon arrival as well when we had to be ready in the lobby by for our day trip the following day. The receptionist was also kind enough to give us a map and notify us of nearby tourist attractions to visit and his favourite local restaurants which we loved! The staff were also very kind to gift us some sweets upon departure and even helped store our bags for an additional three days as we had to leave for the Ha Giang Loop where it’s advised to keep baggage minimal. The breakfast buffet was also delicious and there’s a great selection of food to choose from. I especially love the omelettes cooked here! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay near old quarter in Hanoi and you can expect to receive some of the best hospitality.

Nothing to add here as we greatly enjoyed our stay

I am torn about this hotel. The first night we stayed in a room on the lower floors, which had a window but only facing an emergency exit. This didn’t allow much sunlight to enter the room, and we felt quite claustrophobic. We requested another room for the second night and were given one easily. It was on an upper floor and much better. The way the staff handled our request was great.

I had a rather unpleasant experience at breakfast. The music was pop music, too loud, and often interrupted or changed abruptly. The staff were talking to each other quite loudly as well, which is fine to a certain extent, but it added to the overall noise. After we finished eating, our plates were taken away rather aggressively, and our cutlery was removed even though we were not done with our drinks yet. The breakfast options were okay, but arriving later meant that some items, like the potatoes, looked less fresh. The à-la-carte egg dishes were unseasoned and did not taste very good. The coffee cups were tiny and the options overall not very impressive. On the second day, breakfast was better, and I enjoyed the instant noodle stir-fry and freshly cooked broccoli. The yogurt, however, was only served in tiny containers and had an odd consistency. I am not usually hard to satisfy when it comes to breakfast, but this definitely needs some improvements.
