🌿 Peaceful Jungle Retreat with Authentic Balinese Charm

A wonderfully clean room in the heart of the jungle, giving a very different and peaceful experience. Waking up to nature all around was truly refreshing. The place is small, family-owned, and set in an authentic Balinese environment, which makes it feel personal and welcoming. The breakfast had good, healthy options, and we also enjoyed the main courses, which were well prepared and satisfying. The atmosphere is calm, away from the crowds, yet comfortable for a relaxed stay. I really enjoyed my time here and would happily book this place again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for something simple, genuine, and close to nature. 🌿

A HOME in paradise!

When you book yourself a stay at Sacred Valley, you not only get a wonderful clean room in the heart of the jungle, you also book yourself a caring and loving family too. This is not a big complex with 500 rooms, it is a small place located in an authentic balinese village where they really take good care of you and treat you like family. Sacred Valley was recommanded to us by our friends and it not only lived up to the expectations but exceeded it manyfolds. We have booked the honeymoon suite with bathtub. The room is spacious and cleaned everyday. No signs of mold, bad smells or the like. You can choose from a variety of healty breakfast options but the main courses were to our liking as well. The staff is amazing! They really pay good attention to your needs and are fantastic people. We unfortunately had an accident here in Bali resulting in hospitalization for my wife. The owner and the staff visited us at the hospital, brought gifts and flowers, offered us support all through our stay at the hospital, organized us good care and transport to the hospital. Sacred Valley has a special place in our hearts and we are very happy we had the chance to meet these wonderful people in paradise.

The hammock and the bath tub were very pretty. The room decoration was also very pleasing. The location and views from balcony were amazing.

The room was little bit small and not lit up properly and we felt it was a little on the pricier side comprared to our other stays in ubud area.

The staff were incredibly helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. They were on hand 24/7 and made our stay a real pleasure. It was our first time in Bali and this had made it very memorable!

A little far from everything, but pure Ubud — peace, greenery, and hidden magic.

This place is Ubud at its best. Yes, it’s about a 30-minute drive from the main town, but that also means you’re closer to the famous rice terraces and tucked away in real peace and greenery. Nothing much right outside the gate, so be ready to hop on a scooter or take a short ride when you want to explore. The property itself is just wow. Lush, sprawling, full of hidden little corners, a spring here, a swing there, it felt like we kept discovering new spots each day. The room was lovely, the views unreal, the pool a dream, and the spa decent for a reset. Food deserves a mention too: the smoothie bowl with crunchy granola, the nasi goreng, and especially the pork belly were all winners. We honestly looked forward to mealtimes. The staff was also absolutely amazing. Dede, the manager, set the tone with his big smile and high energy from day one, and Alex the server was always a delight. They made us feel so cared for throughout our stay. We left wishing we had a few more days here. If you’re looking for the true essence of Ubud — greenery, beauty, and quiet luxury — this is the spot.

Exceptionally good!

Nestled deep in the jungle, this place offers a truly calm and relaxing escape. Despite being surrounded by nature, the room was impeccably clean—honestly even better than some 5-star hotels I’ve stayed in. The bed was very cozy, and the atmosphere made it easy to unwind completely. What truly set our stay apart was the warmth and hospitality of the staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. When my husband’s drone accidentally fell on the roof of another villa, the manager, Dede, personally climbed up to retrieve it. The food was also good, and we enjoyed chatting with Alex, a sweet and engaging young man who made us feel even more welcome. We stayed in a Jungle Cabin for 4 nights, and from the moment we checked in and were greeted with “Welcome home,” it genuinely felt like home. Leaving was hard — when your hearts truly didn’t want to say goodbye.

The actual property was nice, it was clean and well kept. It was very cool, however some of the pictures didn’t look like our room.

Our recent stay at Sacred Valley in Bali was a serene and memorable escape. Nestled in a lush and peaceful part of the island, the hotel offered a beautiful blend of comfort and nature. We stayed for a couple of days in a spacious room that exceeded our expectations, complete with hammocks on the deck that made watching the sunrise especially relaxing. The check-in and check-out process was effortless, and the staff treated us like family, always eager to help with a warm smile. Cleanliness was top-notch throughout the property, and the pool, with its breathtaking view, was a highlight. Breakfasts were served in a charming outdoor space and featured fresh, delicious options that truly started each day on the right note. We were enchanted by the spring at the bottom of the valley—an especially magical spot in the early morning light, with monkeys occasionally wandering through the treetops. The location proved to be convenient for exploring the area, with downtown Ubud, waterfalls, and temples just a short drive away. Sacred Valley provided a tranquil retreat with natural beauty, thoughtful service, and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. We would happily return and recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in Bali.

While the cool overnight air was welcome, we did find it a bit tricky to regulate the room temperature without inviting in a few bugs. Even so, this small inconvenience didn’t detract from the overall experience.

It was a magical night

It was a magical experience. It was up in the jungles of Ubud, very quiet with only the sound of nature around you. Lots of different wildlife at the hotel also. Dede the supervisor and the guy who worked at night(didn't get his name) were amazing. There was a very loud Indian family causing issues and they handled them very well and they never made a sound after that. Breakfast was the best we had in Bali and very tasty. There is also a mini trek you can do on site to some springs which were nice and cool. The room and facilities were stunning, they even provide you with a massive bath tub with salts and foam which most other hotels don't. It is also super clean and no mosquitos come into the room.

Only downside is the road leading up to the hotel is a bit steep which is OK but the road is broken and has many potholes and rocks, at night it is a bit difficult to navigate due to no streetlights.

The location is nice, deep in the jungle, very quiet and private. Only 6 rooms at the villa so there was less interaction with the other guests. The infinite pool was a bonus. The staff are very friendly and always smiling, and willing to help anytime. The rooms are spacious, clean, with a private terrace and a hammock bed overlooking the jungle. Most of our meals were served on our terrace and it was always convenient for us. The made us a floating breakfast at the pool, it was beautiful, and a flower pool by the river, we loved it. The food was amazing and so so affordable, ( I cannot emphasize enough on the best price for the best meals I had in Bali, they are great cooks). Lastly, they offer laundry service, so since we visited the villa on the last days of our trip, our clothes needed washing, which they ironed and folded, ready for us to pack. It was so convenient and very cheap for the load of clothes they washed. We had an amazing stay, it felt like home.

A hidden gem in the middle of the jungle

This accomodation lives up to its name, it is really a hidden, beautiful place in the middle of the nature. The sounds and sight from our balcony was so relaxing and fun, that I could have spent an entire day chilling in the rope hammock. We also tried the massage, which was a great experience, my therapist told me a lot of interesting stuff about Bali. All in all a very pleasant experience, wish we would have stayed more.

In our room there was a strange smell, I think due to the humidity. It had some kind of a musty effect. Maybe it could be remedied with a dehumidifier.

the property is a place to chill and really get away from a buzzing city, it was really enjoyable and calming to just sleep in the net bed to the sound of birds chirping. though it is remote, the access wasn’t a struggle and parking for car was conveniently available. the room was clean and well-equipped, the staffs were very helpful and friendly.

Definitely staying here again!

The room is so romantic and beautiful. There's a wonderful short hike down the mountain to a beautiful spring. We did a cooking class with the staff that was super fun and engaging. The food was delicious!

It is a bit hard to get around the area, and there are a lot of bugs, but just get a taxi or a driver for the day and lots of bug spray, and you'll be fine.

Disappointing

pool water was always dirty you can’t even see bottom also some dog destroyed my shoes while they were on our terrace and owner of the hotel at the beginning said that this was my problem and did not even want to try solve this problem. after I tried to communicate with them they were able to cover half price of these shoes and they made me feel bad because stuff people gave me everything they had. this is really insane situation. so I would not be back there again. with the owner could be more loyal and respectful to his workers and hotel guests

This hotel is in the middle of the jungle, amazing views from anywhere in the hotel. Location is far from any restaurants and shops but absolutely worth it for a quiet getaway, you cannot hear any cars, bikes, music or people just nature. Only about 30 mins from the meeting point to go to Mt Batur and 20 mins from the Tegallang rice fields. Food was great and cheap. The staff were so helpful and very polite.

Amazing small resort placed up in the Jungle, north of the rice fields in Tegallalang. Wayan has together with his friendly staff, created a “Fairy tale” place outside a small village up in the mountains/jungle, away from the busy touristic areas. A perfect “Get away” place for some days, where you can just relax in a Hammock and listen to the jungle. Hike down trough the jungle down to the river (5-10 min) for a morning bath in a spring water pool. Hike up in the small village to see local rice fields. Nice restaurant with a wide menu and local wines. Perfect for Honeymooners, or for (as us) old backpackers enjoying genuine local places and nature. (Good starting point for the Mt Batur hike, the resort can arrange the whole package).

Paradise in Ubud Jungle

The "USP" of this place is the room view and the jungle around, but it would not be the same without the excellent staff and owner (Leon). It would be hard to find a more authentic balinese environment where traditional balinese culture and modern hospitality mix together. The very good food/kitchen, the scenic pool, the garden, the cozy room provided for us the perfect retreat. It is a fairy tale environment, the photos do not give back its real beauty.
