Location was beautiful. very comfortable room. Staff were very nice as was the food.

It was cold in the hotel as in our room, hot water in the washbasin - no, you have to mix it yourself. The second time I won't stop there for sure. The food and staff are excellent, but there is no room.
Cold in room , no hot water

Location was great, view from the room was good, room was ok, comfy for a one night stay, ate in the restaurant that evening and the food was great. Breakfast was fab too. Its a quirky layout inside, bit old fashioned, almost felt to me that they were trying with improvements but on a budget, there was no tv in the room and also couldn't find a hairdryer, I probably should have asked about that but as it was only one night I didn't bother. Staff were really friendly
No TV
No hairdryer
lighting in the room a bit too dim for my taste

Dornie is extremely beautiful.
Breakfast was acceptable but brilliant, evening meal was similar. The room was tiny and the bed wasn’t terribly comfortable. Although the staff member tried to be helpful I got the impression that she was rushed off her feet. We asked if we could book at late checkout because our coach wasn’t until 3.30pm and the hotel was almost empty with only three rooms occupied, all for the same wedding party. Unfortunately this wasn’t possible so we had to vacate the room at 10am. We were offered the dining room to wait in until the coach because it was raining heavily, but there was no food or drink available whilst we waited. I felt that we were unimportant to the hotelier, and he didn’t care about our comfort. The hotel is in beautiful surroundings so it seemed that customers would continue to visit Dornie, therefore he just didn’t have to make any effort.

The rooms were clean but the place had a bad odour and the paintwork needed doing. The manager was very nice. He told me about his Shinty teams.
The lady who booked us in was rude. Didn’t get in the door before she stopped us dead and said we had to pay first. Needs lessons in PR. We were 5 pensioners and she didn’t offer to help with our bags despite showing us upstairs to rooms. No lifts.

Pros: friendly and professional staff; good breakfast; nice clean room - although I had a small room it had a double bed and was good for me being single.
Good location to visit tourist sites from; nice bar and restaurant - both the hotel bar and its nearby pub. Good food options and good meals.

It was in a good location for us. Staff was friendly and there was a restaurant on-site.
The room/hotel was very dated.

Excellent evening meals and very friendly staff serving.
Initial impression on arrival not great. The B from Bar was missing and also the E from Hotel! Entrance door to reception hadn't seen any paint in many years. All public areas were generally tired. The room decor was not great and very dark with chipped paint work and no television. It should state on their website that there isn't a television in the rooms. A light on the table would be good. Pretty grumpy serving staff at breakfast on our first day!

The location is close to the Eilean Donan Castle. The hotel has a bar and a restaurant on site. The free parking is available.
I have never stayed in such a neglected place before. The bathroom seems to be renovated but it's missing a mirror inside it as well as a shelf for utensils. In the room there was no proper table to seat. Also it's all very old.
The personnel is weird. The young waitress at the restaurant (not the Spanish one) and the older lady at the breakfast were walking with stone and arrogant faces (maybe they are relatives?). I came from Germany and even for me it was extreme.
I was really happy to leave this place behind after one night.

Nice B&B too expensive what it is . High season last minute booking so we had not much option to choose from. I would stay there again at lower price but definitely will eat dinner , food was amazing ,so was the service .
This hotel is not really overlooking the see or the castle. All is close by to be fair

Room was fine, but no food in the evening, and although the breakfast was good, it was delivered without enthusiasm or attention to detail and we ended up stopping early for a second cup of coffee.

Great location to park and walk to Eilean Donan. Can eat and drink here or at sister hotel a very short walk away.
Very small room. Stairs (but less if you enter with luggage at back of hotel carpark)

The rooms have been refreshed recently.
There is no TV in the rooms - a very basic amenity, by any standards. This is completely unacceptable for the rate charged. - I was informed that it wasn’t possible to get a Smart TV signal in the area, however a simple/basic freeview booster would provide at least a few basic channels.

A nice picturesque hotel almost opposite Eileann Donan Castle. The room was of a good size with good beds and the bathroom had the best shower I've ever found in a hotel. I want one at home too! The hotel has a very good busy restaurant (reserve on time) and serves a very good breakfast. The price is a bit hefty, but the quality is good.
Checking in during dinner time was a bit challenging, as reception was unmanned and the staff didn't hear the bell due to the noise in the restaurant. One of our party had to find his way through the hotel in search of someone to perform the check in.

Fantastic location. 5 minutes walk from Eileen Dolan castle. Food on the evening was outstanding. Breakfast also was very good. Small but comfortable room. Pub down the road good also which is owned by the hotel. Can choose to eat in the hotel or in the pub.

Location right next to the Castle gave me my own time to visit and explore in the evening. The room was plenty big enough for the 4 of us and modern. Breakfast was great too. It’s a great midpoint for a trip to the Isle of Skye
Costly for the night but not many options around.

A great location. The bar was intimate and the meal was delicious. The room was newly renovated and extremely comfortable . The location was great, right across from the Elean Donan castle. Lots of parking
Nothing negative to say. We really enjoyed our stay

Location was ideal for our needs.
The staff seemed disconnected from customer service. The room rate, food and drink prices are a tad exuberant for what you actually receive.

Great food. Had evening meal of Sea Bass and my daughter had langoustines. Delicious food, beautifully presented.

The restaurant onsite was surprising, the food was good and quite popular with the locals. The rooms were clean and the bathroom was really nice.
Could hear the other room occasionally but to be expected with an old inn.

All around are some of the stunning and iconic vistas you will find anywhere in the country.
Huge recommend from me!

Great breakfast. Very cozy atmosphere. I would stay again. Friendly staff and owner.
Needs some maintenance on a few things. But hey! It’s old and historic. I expect it’s a daily task of upkeep and repairs.

Excellent breakfast. Pleasant staff. Location...suited our requirements as visiting nearby-living relatives
TV in rooms would have been nice but good wifi enabled use of smart devices. However there was not a residents; lounge which we think was sadly lacking as the room itself was inadequate for relaxation...no easy chair in which to sit and read for example

The breakfast was good and generous. The location is sensational near the water.
The bedrooms are basic. We had two bedrooms and a bathroom for the three of us, but the hallway outside our apartment had a bubble-glassed window through which others could see the bathroom and bedroom entrances.

Helpful and welcoming staff. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Good location for onwards travel to Skye and the Hebrides as well as local exploring.
We did find the walls very thin - poor acoustic insulation. I suppose there is not much to be done in a traditionally built property, but unfortunately we were disturbed through the night by some loud conversations in an adjoining room.

Easy to get to, great location, old fashioned quirky Scottish Inn.. staff are lovely and welcoming. Good breakfast with lovely views, good parking at the Inn. Pub next door great for food - very handy!
Bit dated, bedrooms need renovating! Think some is going on as our bathroom was new and the exterior of the Inn looked freshly painted.. would be great if the bedrooms got renovated too.
Single beds, very soft and squishy.. facilities are basic and it was quite pricy for what it is compared to others along our route. It was fine for just a night

Room was nice and clean, staff were great. Had tea/ coffee available but no Tv. This wasn’t an issue for us this time around. Location is great close to Eilean Donan Castle. There was a restaurant & bar on sight. Prices were a little up there, but there is a pub 3 doors down which do meals at a reasonable price.
We we’re down stairs out the back. You can hear others upstairs .
