Would’ve liked some essentials like salt, pepper, oil, foil etc like in other properties we have visited.

The location of the property was lovely. Beautiful water outlook. Spacious.

Firstly, the property pictures on Booking.com did not truely depict what was found at the property - ie nowhere near enough seating for a family. They should update the photos to truely represent what is there. There were totally empty hand wash containers in the bathroom. Maybe they don’t supply these basic necessities as owners, but should consider changing cleaners if they can’t detect empty containers of things when cleaning prior to new guests arriving. We had a 48hr blackout due to storms during our short 5 night stay. Nowhere in the property was there a torch, a candle, a lighter or matches. We purchased all of these the next day and left them there for future renters. Upon asking for some help or credit (to apply to other accomodation) due to the complete inability to use the property for half the time we were there, we were either ignored or told ‘we didn’t ask for this’. The property charged the typical crazy prices for the holiday period. We had to spend a considerable amount more, staying in Newcastle to try and remain on our holiday, awaiting power to come back on, as we were told, if we left, we would forfeit the cost of the holiday. We left the property in perfect order, with extra supplies.
