We liked the fact that the cottage was central to the town and it's facilities yet it was very very quiet. Parking was very close too.
The cottage is well equipped and the shower is good and and maintains a stable temperature.
A very good Indian restaurant is just around the corner.
Nothing not to like.

Location was great and the home was comfy and had everything we needed. It was very close to shops and wonderful friendly little cafes.
The lack of WiFi was frustrating as it would have been nice to have to relax and watch a movie or access Netflix etc in the evening after a busy day.

No heating other than a small log burner and as it was September it was cold from midday onwards. The "miniscule" tube heater in the hall, to our knowledge never came on, ditto with the bathroom heater.
The cottage had very little pressure in the water system.
Our greatest issue was in finding the location as all we originally had was a Booking .com email with no address/post code to validate the address. On arrival we spent over 2 hrs driving around asking people, finally speaking to a kind lady who knew of Pannanich cottage and found the post code online.
We contacted the owners the following day and they stated it was a Booking .com at fault which had happened before.
This could have all been alleviated if the email sent by Booking .com had arrived to me prior to setting off , as we had no internet on arrival
These are not complaints but observations, in summer it would have been ideal, Ballater is after all, reputedly the coldest place in Scotland.
Overall the cottage was central and comfortable and we had an enjoyable stay, thankyou.
Quirkly the house next door (no 4) had heating, water pressure was no problem and an abundance of logs for the log burner, not to mention "Internet".
They were catered for by " AIR B&B".
