Great Location, Nice people, accommodating stores and restaurants and food places. Easy to access.
Hair found on blanket, Couldn't figure how to turn bathroom radiator off, making room really warm.

Good bed. Mini kitchen. Location.
Condom in courtyard. 1inch gaps under each door. You could clearly hear next rooms goings on. Mould in the shower. Broken leg on kitchen unit. Lots of rubbish strewn outside. Outside door didnt shut. All this shows that Basic things aren't being sorted out. Makes the stay very uncomfortable.

Location was brilliant and it was mostly clean apart from under the bed
There was no hairdryer as stated which I didn’t realise until after washing my hair! It also got very cold over night and was loud

Location great, although very noisy at night so bring ear plugs if you want to sleep.
Bed comfortable
Good shower
Not well equipped
No sharp cutting/bread knifes
Very limited cooking utensils
Needs repainting dirty walls
No TV
Hand soap was well watered down 🤔

Location was very central, in a beautiful part of town. I liked the kitchen area in the room.
Unfortunately the pub opposite had live music which meant loud bass music and drums till late, and rowdy crowds even later. The bed sheets were nylon which stuck to me all through the night. The second night was better as there was no live music so it must be hit and miss. I got very little sleep the first night.

Location, clean
Two people room was very small, only one cup, only one plate, only one bowl.

Fantastic location
Facilities, such as no knives to prepare food with unhelpful, no tv or radio. So ok for one night but longer than that it would be an issue

Fantastic location right in the heart of Coventry . Good shower and great to have a fridge and tea coffee and milk provided. Comfy bed
Only 1 larger towel left and 2 very small and there were 2 of us. No hangers to hang clothes and in the photo of the room it showed a separate room with a sofa and it was just the one room and no sofa

Good location and good price
Very late to check in, not easy to find, lamp didn’t work but there’s no one to help

Good location
Good hot shower
Good heating
Good kitchen facilities
Not well thought out for a female, one single mirror in the whole flat (which was in the bathroom) so unable to do hair styling at desk or get ready
Nowhere in bathroom to store products while getting ready
Single glazed windows and thin walls meant every conversation inside and outside the property was heard
Extra pillows were provided in the wardrobe but were all stained
Small bedside lamp didn’t work
Kettle was mouldy inside so couldn’t use it
Shower tray needs de-moulding / re-grouting

Perfect room amazing location in the ancient courtyard
The toilet never stopped flushing all day/ night. Kept waking me up needing the toilet from constantly hearing running water
Also I had a shower before going out and trod on a small sliver of glass. Was only a small cut nothing major. But this morning I saw where it was from
The picture above the toilet was cracked. And I found slivers of glass behind the toilet ( clearly a bad cover up)
I put glass in main bin with other rubbish and tied it up for disposal

check in time a little late .No TV ,which after a 4 hour hour journey, would have been nice
5.0 / 10.0
Location, right by bars, although very noisy but that was to be expected
Facilities - 2 flat pillows and no extras, clumpy duvet, only one bath towel and one coffee sachet, no sugar, no mirror to get ready other than in bathroom but needed a socket. Just not well thought out, little things would have made a difference. Location was good albeit difficult to find.

Nice and spacious studio.
Good location.
Check in time of 4pm?? the day is nearly over before you can get access to the accommodation.
Offering an early check in of only 2 hours for an extra £20 is scandalous

The bed was very noisy with every move, it was also very noisy with the other guests. Cigarette burn in the pillow.

It was relatively clean.
I opted to book in at 16:00, booking.com acknowledged that yet I didn’t get the codes for the room until 17:32 - I had to wait for over an hour and half to get into the room that I had paid for. Shocking. Oh and no TV, I haven’t stayed anywhere in the Western world since 1990 that doesn’t have a TV, wake yourself up.

The property lies at the very heart of what still remains of historic, pre-industrial Coventry. The street onto which it looks is narrow, originating from the Middle Ages and complete with cobbled stones. The inner courtyard, known as Castle Yard, once formed a key part of the many centuries ago destroyed Coventry Castle, residence to the city's former earls; i.e. feudal lords who shared the early-to-mid-mediaeval settlement with the Priory (the original Cathedral demolished during Henry VIII's Dissolution of the Monasteries). The highly atmospheric little square, accessed at two points from Hays and Bayley Lanes, affords views of St Mary's Guildhall, a surviving castle tower as well as the all-dominant bell tower and steeple of St Michael's Cathedral (since 1918, burnt out during the infamous bombing raid of 14th-15th November, 1940; cf.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Ovl0aAAnrM).
The staircase is inevitably steep but well carpeted. The flat is spacious, divided into two broadly definable parts comprising a lounge area with sofa bed next to a comparably well-stocked corner for preparing/cooking food and a more secluded inner end containing a double bed with wall-mounted television. The bathroom was functional (i.e. shower, sink, WC) and easy to use.
We enjoyed very much our time in the flat, which provided us with an ideal base and temporary home to revisit the ancient (Coventrians' definition) city. Nearby restaurants shut at 11pm, while one evening an impromtu concert was held in a presumably municipally-owned groundfloor space which, with its strong echoes of Cov's rich 'pop' musical traditions, was a tremendous joy to listen to and effectively experience.
I would happily stay here - particulaly in the flat described - many times over, although the charge involved was quite high (even if not especially so by British standards).
Nothing in particular; our stay at the flat was entirely pleasurable.

Fabulous location, really nice room, very secure
As a single girl going to bed, I tried moving the vanity table in front of the door (extra security) but it was broke and nearly fell apart, also the toaster didn’t work, all minor things

Mainly location and being left alone. Room good size and same as pictures. 2nd stay here and both times enjoyed my stay. Good facilities in room. Good shower and comfy bed. Stayed for over a week and found it comfortable for my stay. Good wi-fi reception.
Maybe a light over the desk.

I was in Coventry for research for a book, so this property was ideal - a stone's throw from the cathedral, museum, archives and backing onto the gorgeous St Mary's Guildhall (their cream scones are to die for!) It is perfectly situated for shops and well set up for a spot of self-catering. The room was tiny but had everything I needed. Really appreciated the electric fan, as it was so hot and the shower was great. A display on the landing shows where there'd been an archaeological dig carried out in castle yard, which was fascinating. Once I'd figure out the door code system, it was great to be able to come and go as I pleased.
The room seemed a bit tired, lots of loose screws. I fixed the towel rail myself (you're welcome) but the loo roll holder is falling apart. There was sugar spilt in the cupboard and the instructions were stuck to the drawer. Somebody must have spilt coffee on them. They need replacing. It was very, very noisy, in particular the gardener who started using noisy, petrol-fumy equipment beneath my window at 5.30am! The property manager did respond very quickly to my rather irate message, so thank you for that. The grounds are shared, so not the property's fault, but what with enraged seagulls and cathedral bell-ringing practice it was a tad noisy.
It would help if it were made clearer that 1 Castle Yard is a multi-occupancy building and you will be assigned a room number in the building. To aid others- you are issued with the blue door code in advance, but this will only affect you if you plan to be out late. The blue door (they send a picture of it) is a shared entryway off Hay Lane and you might not notice it as its generally open. That really confused me! The two other codes will be emailed to you on the day of check in, the first for the building and the second for your room.

Difficult to find, an had to wait to get notification, as it was keyless. No staff whatsoever. Great position. Supposed to spend a week there, stayed just 3 nights, very basic, no TV, which was a massive letdown. Lacked maintenance, headboard flopping forward everytime you turned over. Loo seat hanging off. Woke up at 5:30 due to a man with a petrol leaf blower. This was in their private yard, not outside as they stated to me! Quite noisy with other guests.
Ideal for an odd night. No TV an uncomfortable cheap bed.

Comfort and location
There were people shouting and speaking loudly into the early hours of the morning outside my hotel room, which meant it was not possible to go to sleep on time.

This studio apartment was good value for money, good location, a little noisy outside but we managed to close the windows
TV would have been nice but wasn't essential for one nigh
No TV and noisy outside

It was clean
Check in is at 4pm which I think is ridiculous. You can pay £20 for an ‘early’ check in of 2pm. 2pm should be the standard check in time. They sent instructions of how to enter the building with lots of images. We thought that was great. However the images were of old doors and old codes to get in. We travelled with a child who needed to be put down for a nap. When we called to ask how to get in we had no answer. Called 3 times no answer. Sent a text still no reply. I then called again and got through to the most patronising person ever. I booked over a month ago and she said ‘did you book yesterday?’ ‘Do you read your emails?’ Rather than helping she was questioning why I couldn’t get into the building. Again, rather than giving the codes I had to go through all the emails to find on one of them it had #number and #number in a really long email without any context the first number was for the front door and second was for the room door. And she was surprised we didn’t understand. She is letting the room out and it’s her responsibility to update the instruction images rather than patronising people who have paid to stay at her property. We had requested a cot as we were travelling with an 8 month old. They put us on the top floor with no lift and when we got in the room there was no cot, just an uncomfortable sofa bed made up. What good is that for a baby?!
I didn’t want to ring up again because she was so rude. It would’ve been a 3 star if it wasn’t for the patronising woman. Disgraceful.

Location
Host prepared beddings and towels for 2 guests only while booking was for 4 guests. Then upon contacting them they refused to help and said that the other two can Shawnee with small face towels only. No apology and arrogant host!.

Cost effective room with intelligent use of space in a good location. Everything worked and was clean.
No TV but for the price that's acceptable.

The location of this place back's right onto a charming little square literally right next to Coventry Cathedral and St Mary's Guild hall! It's absolutely wonderful I kid you not! Easy access via door-code sent by the proprietor on morning of arrival.
The apartment we stayed in is pleasantly decorated and everything is modern, spotlessly clean and functional,
For a night out in Coventry city centre we would highly recommend this accommodation and will definetely be staying here again. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.
Some reviews have mentioned the lack of a TV, which is true.
But come on people! ...... do you really NEED a telly when you're surrounded by so much wonderful history in this City?!

Centra to shops
Local bar having a karaoke night. Sounded like cats being swung by their tales and loud.
