About this farm stay rental

This cottage is one of the oldest homes in the county that is still standing, since 1851. When we found this house for sale, we loved the wide open hall through the house, the family-style layout, and bones of the home. We only updated the kitchens and the bathrooms, applied fresh paint with original color palette, added HVAC, and supplemented the lighting.

**please note -This is a rural & old property, understand that insects and rodents may appear even though they are managed with extermination.**

This home features an original historic layout, spacious parking, lots of yard, and original barn on site. One master bedroom with private bathroom, two guest bedrooms, one guest bathroom, common grand hall, living room, dining room, appliance-equipped kitchen, laundry zone, covered front & back porches.

We provide plenty of yard games, board games, card games, magazines, wildlife books, classic books, and lounging areas for a charming un-plugged family stay!

For morning convenience, coffee & tea are provided.

The Farmhouse is located near a gravel country road, so traffic is in proximity.

Enter into a lovely wide foyer hall that goes the length of the home, inspired by dogtrot breezeways of original Southern homes. Enjoy a spacious master bedroom with adjoined private bathroom featuring a standing shower and vintage clawfoot tub (with a backyard view), grand dressing mirror, vanity, dresser, lounging sofa, and full sized bed. Plenty of windows in every room in the house provide a cheerful, sunny ambience throughout the day. This historical farmhouse has been modernized with A/C, renovated kitchen, and updated guest and master bathrooms. It has been kept in the most original condition in which we found it, including original floorplan, color palette, surface materials, and some furniture. A full kitchen is available for use, along with outdoor grills for a little cookout. Washer and dryer are also available during your stay.

This farmhouse exceeded our expectations. My daughter graduated from State and with 6 daughters getting ready that morning at the same time we needed room. This house was perfect for us. Larger than it appears in photos, we did not feel as though we were on top of each other. It has well appointed bathrooms and desks or vanities in all bedrooms. The kitchen had everything you might need even found some batteries for the string of lights. It is decorated beautifully. It was fun to explore outside and my screen addicted teens even played checkers and cards together. We didn't want to leave. The host was very kind and friendly. The house was great so we didn't need to contact them during our stay just check in and out.

Nice place. Served our group well. In the middle of nowhere but it was described correctly. Dust was a problem but it has been extremely dry. Overall enjoyed our time there. Owner was very helpful.

Plenty of room for 10 people in peaceful old country setting. About 30 min from Miss State campus- easy drive. Would definitely stay again.

We rented the house for my daughter graduation from state. The house was spacious and great for family time! Being in the country was an added bonus! The property was beautiful that we ended up doing a mini photo shoot with my daughter in her graduation attire.
