Great house - so much character. I loved sitting on the front porch! The beds were very comfortable and the check in process and communication was excellent. Very clean as well. Will stay there again next year when my daughter is at OSU gymnastic camp.

Verna is such a gem and so conveniently located. From the property we were only about a 10 minute walk to Goss Stadium for baseball and downtown for restaurants, shopping and the farmers' market. The house is cozy and full of charm. And sitting on the front porch of the quiet, tree lined street was heavenly.

My family of 5 had a great stay at this historic house! It was in the perfect location to walk and explore downtown Corvallis and as a central hub to go out to the beach or hiking spots. The house feels larger than the pics suggest too. I really loved the architecture/style. All in all, a great option and somewhere I would return to without hesitation.

The home itself is lovely, it’s clear a lot of thought and charm went into designing the space, and we really appreciated that.However, it unfortunately didn’t appear to have been cleaned before our arrival. There was a noticeable amount of dog hair and human hair throughout the floors, and the bedding in the front room had visible hair and didn’t feel fresh. There was also leftover food in both the fridge and cupboards.One of the main reasons we chose this property was because it wasn’t listed as pet-friendly, and we have animal allergies in our family. It was pretty clear a pet had recently been in the home, which made the stay more difficult for us.We really believe this could be a great place with just a bit more attention to cleanliness between guests. Thanks again for sharing your home.

We came to visit our son who is at OSU, meet some of his friends, and go to some baseball games. It was great to be able to cook breakfast on Easter for our son and a few friends. The location was perfect. We walked to campus and to downtown for dining. The house had everything we needed.

Traveled to Corvallis to visit my uncle with my parents. We enjoyed our stay at Verna. Communication was excellent when dealing with a minor issue. Beautiful neighborhood. Well kept home- felt like home not a rental. Plenty of space for the 3 of us. Would love to stay again on my next visit to Corvallis.

We traveled to Corvallis to see our granddaughter who is at OSU. Your Verna was such a lovely older home and very clean and well kept! We only had 5 days but we enjoyed it so much! Corvallis is a beautiful city. We went to the farmers market by the river on our last day and had a good time. We also drove to the coast two different days. We went whale Watching ( didn’t see any which was disappointing ) Then on another day we went to an aquarium in Newport. The aquarium was my favorite 😊 Overall was a very good visit! Thank you for sharing your home!

Verna was the perfect spot for visiting my Beav. The house had everything we could possibly need to make us feel at home, lots of extra touches. Beds were comfy, kitchen had all we needed to cook (even though we didn’t) & the porch was a great spot to hang out. A very short walk to the OSU campus- right by Sierra, Tebeau & McNary. We will most definitely be back.

This beautiful home was the perfect home base for us to stay (3 g’s) during OSU grad week/end celebrations. Everything is lovely and the kitchen is very well stocked for a family who enjoys cooking together. The front porch and backyard were great spaces to enjoy our downtime between events. We took advantage of the opportunity with all the family together and hired the photographer who shot our daughter’s cap and gown session to come to the house for a family session in the backyard which was perfect! We’re so proud of our girl but we’re sad to pull away from Corvallis. Definitely leaving a lot of heart in that town. Thank you for sharing your lovely home!

I booked this home for myself and a couple of girlfriends so we could visit with my daughter at OSU. The location was perfect. I had ankle surgery so I can’t walk too far, but we were just a couple of blocks away from downtown. I had no problem. Safeway was also really close by. The house itself was also just beautiful. It’s an old home, but clearly well kept. Beds were very comfy, and kitchen was well-stocked. We especially loved the gas fireplace since it was a stormy weekend. Would love to return to this home in warmer weather so we can enjoy the seating on the front porch.

We stayed here for OSU move in weekend and could not have been more pleased with the property and the location. It’s just a few blocks from downtown Corvallis and a few blocks to campus, so completely walkable. The house itself is incredibly charming and comfortable, it had everything we needed. We would stay here again. One note is that there are students living all around so it can get noisy this close to campus, earplugs are a good idea if you’re a light sleeper.

The porch is just incredible for lazy summer days and gorgeous sunsets. Comfortable beds, well-appointed bathrooms, and great communication from the hosts/property manager. This gorgeous, light-filled craftsman is such a perfect place to relax and feel at home! The house has so many beautiful, historical touches but is also very comfortable and inviting. We really loved the big breezy porch, an ideal spot for enjoying peaceful summer nights. Also enjoyed reading about the history of the place and how truly loved this home has been over the years. I love the front porch. Every evening we would sit and talk. It was a great place to unwind. The beds were comfortable. We did not do too much cooking, but I did appreciate the coffee maker and other kitchen equipment. The house is in town and it is easy to walk to all the wonderful restaurants.

This home was so filthy that we would not have stayed other than the hassle of getting a refund. Compared to immaculate VRBO properties at a lower price, this house is also way over-priced. I took15 photos of some of the worse areas, but apparently cannot upload them here, so will describe: All surfaces other than countertops had a year or two's worth of grime on them. Hair and dirt in bedroom corners, baseboards brown with accumulated dirt that wipes off with damp rag, ceiling fan edges covered in thick dust, "clean" bedding had someone's hair in it (I have alopecia... zero hair... so no way it could be mine).  Kitchen foul... someone else's food left in refrigerator and pantry. Minimal cookware compared to other VRBOs. Toaster oven had aluminum foil with food on it on top of filthy scorched pan, coffee maker carafe had grounds in it, top of microwave and other surfaces gross. No dishwasher, so just had to trust that silverware and dishes had been washed in a sanitary manner.  No face towels. One hand towel per bathroom, and a couple of dish towels in the kitchen. Kitchen shelves and drawers need painting and repair.  Basement "bedroom" smelled really musty.... and was not finished... a sheet hanging from exposed floor joists above bed for the listing photo... rest of basement just raw joists, raw concrete, and several unsealed holes to the outside for rodents to enter. No way would we sleep down there.  [Maxed out on review length - although more to say]
