Great little spot.

We didn't get to meet the owner but her sister was very helpful and welcoming. The Lodge is very quaint and quite lovely to stay in, also very quiet and just a ten-minute walk to Little Clacton village. Tea and coffee were provided and the bed was very comfortable. Would definitely book again.

Lovely homely feel

Lovely comfortable accommodation. The Lodge has a very homely feel and is well planned and thoughtfully equipped. We had absolutely everything we needed to ensure we could enjoy our stay. It was nice to have access to the outside space although sadly we didn’t have the time to enjoy it during our stay.

Stayed here a couple of times for a work stopoff with added beach trip benefit. Quiet & good value

Great quiet location for visiting the coast, without the noise and chaos and seagulls! The little place was fine for me for a stop off, others might like a larger room / more facilities.

Fan in bathroom seems to stay on all the time. The hum probably helped send me to sleep though!

Lovely Stay

Lovely owner who was accommodating to my situation, adjusting check in time so I can get changed for the wedding I was attending nearby, and the room was larger than expected, with everything I needed for a cosy night

Cosy accommodation with a very useful parking space

It was very cosy and even though I didn’t use them, the milk, bottled water and chocolates were a lovely gesture.

I felt a little uneasy sleeping directly under the hatch as I had an encounter with a very large spider. I think a long mirror would be useful so that you can check yourself when getting dressed. The window near the bed only has a wooden blind which didn’t shut out the daylight, so a curtain would be a useful addition.

It is a beautiful little Lodge that feels very peaceful and private. We was celebrating our 2nd Anniversary and wanted an escape from the usual hustle and bustle of London living and this gave us exactly that.

Highly recommend this accomodation which made the purpose of my visit even better.

A perfect little find for one night and very close to the venue where I was going to a friend's party. The room is modern, comfortable and had everything you'd need. As the owner already knows, the supply of Yorkshire tea bags in the room was a winner! Very helpful and friendly owners. Just a little tip, read the sign (like I didn't!) about the switch for hot water from the sink and give it a little while to warm up. I would definitely book again.

Little Gem

Great location for Clacton and the surrounding areas. Really easy to check in with the key safe. The Lodge itself had everything you would want from a room. It was tastefully decorated with tea and coffee making facilities and two comfortable chairs. It was super clean and comfortable and the little touches like the fresh milk in the fridge, the chocolates and the disposable slippers really added to the quality of the accommodation. We had no need to contact the owners but from their attention to detail I have no doubt that if we had an issue they would have responded promptly to resolve it. Only a few minutes walk over the bridge to all village facilities. Excellent value for money. We wanted somewhere near Clacton to stay for the night and I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

Perfect little lodge stay for an overnight. Really clean & everything you could need. Self checking was well explained & everything went smoothly. I would stay again.

Parking was a bit tight , but that's to be expected Plenty of room outside on the lane if that's a problem for anyone.

A fun experience, not to be missed.

The Lodge offers an unusual and "petite" accommodation in a quiet wooded corner of Little Clacton with space to park your car off-road. Julie and Alistair are lovely hosts.

We would definitely stay there again

Very peaceful quiet location,when we opened the door there was a lovely fragrance and it was very clean,the room was small but comfortable for two people but not for tall or big persons,the location is good as the shops are 5 minutes drive and Clacton-on-Sea is about 10 minutes,meet the lovely host Julie and her three lovely dogs, dogs are not allowed but she said if you have a small dog she may make an exception you just need to let her know first when you book.

The property was not easy to find as it’s hidden and there are no signs,also it would be nice if there was a mirror in the room for us ladies,and there is a gap on the side of the blind near the bed which let the light in and woke as up early,these are minor things though which would be easy to correct.

At the end good experience but some things might be better

Location very nice, easy to find, quiet place . Interior nice and neat, very clean.

No plates or cuttlery even not a single knife which makes stay a little difficult if you want prepare own food in the morning or something to nibble before sleep.

Everything. The lodge was very special. Exceptional clean. Extremely comfortable. A beautiful place. Would highly recommend and will definitely go again. We didn't get to meet the owner but from staying in their lodge and the lovely thoughtful things they left just knew they were a good family. Loved every minute of it 😊
