Very traditional

Everything is rather old and require refreshment. Complimentary snacks and drinks are very poor quality.

Great buffet breakfast and Great Hida Beef Dinner. Room was spacious and clean. Loved the reception area providing free soft drinks and snacks. We loved the outdoor baths.

The private outdoor baths were first come first serve - you cannot reserve it. There were no time limits to using the outdoor baths - we had to wait for 2 hours because a group decided to take 2 hours to use the baths. A time limit would be nice.

Room is clean, bed is comfortable. Dinner and breakfast is great. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Private onsen is a little run-down

The hotel is near Shinhotaka Ropeway. It takes only 14 minutes by car.

The hotel is run down. There are 4 private onzens but there is no shower before taking into the bath in each rooms. Regarding the food, we inform the hotel in advance that one of our group can't eat beef. We don't have any problem for the dinner, they can provide us with pork. However, they still serve beef for breakfast and say that it is unable to change. We don't understand while they can change for dinner but can't change for breakfast. The price for our stay is quite expensive comparing with the service received.
