Firefly Smith Lake House is a peaceful retreat, just 1 hour from Birmingham and 25 minutes from I-65 (Exit 305). Our cozy 3-bedroom, 2-bath lakefront home comfortably sleeps 9 guests and offers stunning water views, easy lake access, and endless outdoor fun!

From late September through February, the lake level drops, making boating unavailable—but this is the perfect time for a peaceful, cabin-style retreat! Enjoy:
- Fishing & kayaking in calm waters
- Crisp mornings on the deck with coffee and breathtaking views
- Cozy fireside evenings at the lakeside fire pit
- Hiking & wildlife spotting—deer, geese, and more!
The cooler months at Firefly feel like a mountain escape, offering seclusion, serenity, and relaxation by the lake.
Things to Know
- Boat launch: 5 min away at Arrowhead RV Park
- Boat rentals available with free delivery to the dock March–August

Super clean, comfy beds and well thought out spaces. We enjoyed seeing the water birds every day and the lake was perfect for kayaking. We enjoyed our time and it felt like home away from home.

We enjoyed our stay. The boys loved ping pong, basketball, and the kayaks. Beds were comfortable and all was clean. Highly recommend.

We had an outstanding stay at the Firefly Lake House. The communication with Kristi was excellent. The home was so clean, and the bed was top tier in comfort! All docks and decks were in great condition.

The house was very clean, and fairly easy to find. Our main complaint was a lack of comfortable seating for everyone in one area. There is not a living room or seating room with enough comfortable seating for 6 people.
