About this house rental
Our four bedroom, two bath home with two kitchens on two levels will suit the needs of many families and groups up to 14 or just a single family vacation with our low rates. There is a single slip boat dock with a new swim deck, a charcoal grill, picnic table, firepit, and large covered porch with an amazing view of the water. A boat launch is located on the property with plenty of parking. No need to spend extra time going to and from marina to launch your PWC/ boat.
Located only a hundred yards from the main channel and a short distance from the mouth of Rock Creek makes it an ideal place on the water. Lot is shady and peaceful making for the ultimate relaxing vacation. The home has been remodeled to include new mattresses, new appliances in upstairs kitchen, new sofa-beds and TV's along with new flooring and paint throughout the home. Home has and upstairs and downstairs living areas. Downstairs is handicapped accessible with one bedroom downstairs, accessible bathroom, no steps onto patio and only one step to get to the waters edge. Grab bars at handicapped height commode and in shower. Ample eating areas includes large table downstairs and on the upstairs screened porch. Smaller table in upstairs kitchen. Everything was exactly as described in the listing. This property is older but has everything available and very functional. We had a houseful of kids and adults and never really felt short of space. The upstairs screened in porch was spacious and relaxing while the downstairs ground level open porch was also very roomy and convenient to the grill and fire pit. It is a wooded lot on a fairly gentle slope with shade almost all day. The swim dock, grassy area, and boat ramp get sun most of the day beginning mid morning and sunsets are somewhat visible over the dock, which can be viewed nicely from the bench swing down by the water. An exceptionally quiet neighborhood too (except for our grandkids). The boat ramp and boat slip is very convenient. The ramp was also a hit with children for swimming as well as fishing from the bank, ramp, and dock. There are plastic chairs available which was nice for wet kids. There is plenty of parking which was great since we brought a bass boat and PWC. Arley is only about 20 minutes away for supplies. We enjoyed our 2 week stay and have already booked again next year.

The VRBO was perfectly located with access to the main lake. The kids were safe from the main boat traffic in this quiet cove. They enjoyed swimming and fishing: catching bream and catfish and spotted bass from the dock and shore. The only negative was the lack of lights on the side of the house facing the driveway/boat ramp.

We enjoyed our stay very much! This home will sleep 8 adults perfectly and there's a bunk bed as well for children. There were also 2 pull out couches for 4 more adults, so the space is very generous. The 2 separate kitchens were helpful and fully stocked. It's very quiet here which we loved! We chose this home in order to attend our daughter's graduation from the University of Alabama. Places to stay closer to Tuscaloosa were very expensive so that's how we ended up choosing this home. There was plenty of space to park. We had two cars and we could have fit one more. Be prepared to be away from every day necessities like grocery stores and restaurants which are at least 30 minutes way. This is a great spot and we would recommend it to others. Roll Tide!!

Exterior of property had areas of junk. Interior and exterior stairs & ramps were not compliant with fire and/or building codes, 2d floor porch appeared not up to structural standards and was infested with wood boring bees, electric system would not pass an electric inspection, smoke detectors do not meet code requirements. Location was perfect for our fishing guide to pick us up at the dock, boat ramp was excellent. Interior was exceptionally clean with plenty of towels and linens. 2 refrigerators ans nice for freezing capacity.
