Stunning 360-degree views

Very comfortable. Bathrooms are spacious. The backyard is peaceful with a great view of the surrounding mountainside. At night we had an awesome view of the stars. Having access to a washer and dryer was also great.

There was a lot of emphasis on cleaning per the instructions however we were only provided one almost-finished paper towel roll and 1 small kitchen trash bag. It also would have been nice if there was shampoo and conditioner provided.

There was a washing machine and a clothes dryer, so it was very convenient for us to wash and dry our clothes in 2 hours. Washing powder was provided too. There was also a sheltered, locked car garage accessible from within the house, which was a big plus for security. Checking in was a breeze, as the key to the house was in a numbered key lockbox. The host was friendly and thoughtful and lived in another house not too far away, and I guess any issues would have been resolved pretty quickly.

There was no drainage hole outside the shower cubicle in each toilet. If there is water spillage, the only way is to mop it up or let it dry on its own. I realised that there is a typical design for most toilets in New Zealand. Not grumbling, but find it strange from where I come from, as we would wash the toilet floors (it will be cleaner than mopping) and there would be at least one drainage hole outside of the shower cubicle. Obviously, this isn't a deal breaker.

Lovely spacious property with views of the mountains all around the horizon. Well equipped and clean. Away from the town centre which suited us but glad we had a hire car. Great base for visiting mount cook village and other scenic areas

There are so many rules and regulations. It seems like the owners didn't trust anyone to look after the place. There were 2 of us and we paid over $100 for cleaning. Excessive. It was a freezing night and we couldn't use the wood fired heater. we were not cold, I am not saying that, as the air con was sufficient, but the wood heater would certainly have improved the ambience. This was not a welcoming place and I would not recommend it
