The views from property is breathtaking during the monsoon: Vembanad lake at your doorstep, the rains and a being surrounded by nature genuinely refreshes you.
Rooms were neat, clean and full of traditional Kerala charm.
Bedding was ok - no complaints.
Bathrooms :clean n functional.
Recreational activities on site : Bicycles, Carrom board, Badminton, table tennis.
Entertainment: Live soulful instrumental music played in the evenings
Thankfully the heavy monsoon rains didn’t impact our stay and the longer route from Kottayam to the Kumarakom via Kallara was good and not waterlogged .
The Kerala cuisine was absolutely delicious: authentic, fresh and prepared with real care. I didn’t try other items to be frank. The Pearl Spot /fish moilee and appam was my favorite.
What made this stay truly exceptional was the **people.** The Front Desk personnel -Jansi, Rafeeque,, the GM -Sreejith, the Chef and every single staff member were warm, attentive and genuinely went out of their way to make our Mom’s bday celebration feel special and seen.
They only have one dining outlet. Having another option will give a variety for long stay guests.
