I loved this room and the staff I met, such a shame that the management seem to be ableist. Great location, and there was even a mini kitchen in the room.

I let them know when I booked a month in advance that I use an electric wheelchair. I can walk short distances but just needed to check I could physically get my chair into the room to charge. I got an email after I had checked in and was in the room to say they could not accommodate my wheelchair and could not allow it to be charged in the building. I had to ignore this as I was already checked in and had no alternative place to stay but it added a lot of stress to the stay. The wheelchair fit in the room fine, I parked it at the side to charge with no problem and plenty of room to move about on foot. It is a mobility aid and I was very clear that I didn't need an adapted room and could evacuate via stairs in an emergency so there was no need for them to refuse my custom other than ableism. To leave this until I was already checked in is even worse as I had no choice but to stay there, a short notice room elsewhere would have been very expensive. No support was offered, just "we would not be able to safely support the storage or charging of an electric wheelchair within the room". There was also a lot of difficulty getting them to accept that I am a student. I can only think that this is because I'm a mature student. The staff I actually met were lovely, it is whoever is dealing with the admin.

The bed is decent,easy location to find.great affordable stay if your a student and need to crash.

Admin team beforehand was extremely confusing although I checked in online and was talking about cancelling my booking when I was already enroute would’ve appreciated the conversation beforehand which I found extremely unprofessional and just lack of respect.
