Location and staff

First night it was not clean

Location. Few minutes walk to the shard ,Tate modern, the Globe theatre, St. Paul’s ,the Thames and tube. Good restaurants and supermarket across the road. Security at entrance. Very quiet at night

Poorly equipped kitchen. No toaster, no kettle, no knives.

Nice sized room with basic necessities supplied. Pans, 1 place setting, glass, mug, towels, bedding.

The management of the room did not provide a way to communicate with them. Had to buy more toilet paper. No housekeeping on weekends as expected (though this was not clear, so maybe should not have expected). Biggest complaint: bed somewhat uncomfortable. Could feel the springs. Bed topper needed.

The only really benefit is the location for what you pay, since the nearby hotels are double the cost. It's right behind the Tate Modern and between Southwark and London Bridge stations. The room has a kitchenette which has a microwave and some pots, although there's no kettle.

The room reeked of mold which was coming from the bathroom, you can see where the mold is eating away at the door frame. I called the support number and they told me to "look for an air freshener" (PSA, air fresheners do NOT reduce the impact of mold on your body!) They said maintenance would come by but no one ever did. I had to book another hotel room on the last day because I couldn't breath in the room anymore. I can tolerate the lack of amenities like a hair dryer or iron, I can tolerate the construction noises that went on until 3am, and the suffocating heat of the room, but I draw the line at health hazards.
