About this house rental
Glory Days is the perfect vacation getaway minutes from the Delaware beaches. Large living space with 2 bedrooms on the first level. Kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, glassware, pots/pans, and utensils. Washer and dryer also located on first floor. The loft is the perfect area for the kids with it's own bedroom, bathroom, and TV area. The outdoor living area has a deck, stone patio, outdoor shower, fire pit, and grill. The property sits on a half acre leaving plenty of private outdoor space whether you want to relax or play some games.
The best part of the house is the close proximity to everything you want to do at the beach. It is located on the east side of Route 1 with easy access to downtown Lewes. Cape Henlopen State Park is located 4 miles from the house with access to multiple beaches and fishing. Don't miss the amazing sunsets less than 3 miles away at the Lewes Bay, also home to the Cape May-Lewes Ferry. Multiple bike trails are easily accessible that can bring you to Rehoboth, Milton, Georgetown, and Cape Henlopen. Feel like traveling outside of Lewes, Tanger Outlets provide many shopping options and Rehoboth is only 6 miles south, offering additional beaches, restaurants, mini golf, boardwalk, and Funland.

My family and I have been enjoy summers at the Delaware beaches for the past 13 years. This year my brother, sister-in-law, and their two little girls (5 and 3) stayed with us. This house was perfect. The four kids stayed upstairs in their own space. The couples each had their own bedroom. We loved the outdoor space (just pack the bug spray). We found the location perfect to enjoy lots of restaurants and activities. The host were super helpful prior to our trip and during. They provided everything we asked for and even more!

I’ll preface my review by saying we booked it as a last resort after original host cancelled on us because they were selling their house. Not a great place to stay for a group of adults traveling from other states for a wedding. Having to bring our own sheets and towels on the airplane, and having to provide all hand soap, dish soap, and paper products was honestly such a pain. Would have been nice to at least have bath mats and a couple rolls of toilet paper provided. The upstairs is definitely more suited for children with a tiny shower and the slanted ceilings. We kept hitting our heads while brushing our teeth! Also, there was hardly any mirror space for the ladies to get ready. I didn’t trust the cleanliness of the place, as there were open bags of food left from previous guests, we found multiple ants and other bugs, and we were instructed to wash all dishes by hand before departure. The upstairs was also uncomfortably hot even with the AC and all fans on. For a place to stay out of necessity, it worked and was pretty much as advertised, but our group is not planning to stay here again. Would be a good house for a family or two with small children looking for a more basic place for a casual weekend. With a few updates and ramping up the cleaning and amenities this could be an amazing place to stay for all types of groups!
