About this house rental
The cottage is detached, set against terraces offering many places to relax. The pool has a granite terrace with views towards the river Olo and its crystal clear water and hills covered with trees. With the farm bounded by 2 rivers we can arrange white water rafting and canoeing as well as fishing and hill walking. We have a jeep suitable for safari through the mountains and eucalyptus plantations. In amarante apart from a market, many cafe/bars and restaurants there is an 18 hole golf course, aqua park and sports centre for many activities as well as tennis. With the a4 mtorway 6km away both the coast and inland cities like Vila Real, Braga, Guimaraes, Porto and the Douro Valley are all less than 1 hours drive.

Amarante is a very nice town and the area has lots on the doorstep, riverside walks, river, greenway, bike hire available in town and lots of day trips to adjacent areas. Accomodation good and lovely pool

Perfectly positioned to explore the local amenities and countryside, with plenty of restaurants and cafes a short drive away.A very good place to base an outdoors themed holiday or short break for an authentic feel of the real Portugal ! The hosts Tina and Harry are always very helpful with tips, help and local knowledge to make your stay an enjoyable experience. And if that isn't enough they can source you some really good red or white wines , what more could you want ?
