We really enjoyed our stay. The property is adorable and in a great neighborhood quite near the Vatican. It’s a perfect home base for an exploration of Rome. The accommodations were comfy and clean. We felt right at home from the beginning. I particularly enjoyed the updated kitchen. We’d come back in a heartbeat!

This is a lovely, small apartment. The little patio is very sweet and the host even left us a chilled bottle of Prosecco to enjoy. The location is about a 30-minute walk to the Vatican, but closer to the Vatican museum. Other attractions in Rome are a distance but the bus is very convenient. And the host arranged for a car to take us back to the airport after our trip. The only thing that was not mentioned in the ad is that there are a number of steep stairs, some spots without handrailing to get to the apartment. This was a problem for us as we had a lot of luggage and it was a difficult trek up.

We stayed for two weeks which allowed time to explore neighborhoods and get away from the hordes of tourists for much of our time. We liked the immediate neighborhood - lots of restaurants and food shopping. Andreas gave us a number of good suggestions for eating and touring.

The apartment is quiet and tucked in a lovely garden behind other homes and apartments. The stairs and walk up to the apartment are like climbing 2 floors. They are narrow, but not steep, and I was very glad we had small suitcases. It was simple enough to get to public transportation and Vatican Museum is walking distance. There were grocery stores, restaurants and shops nearby. The air conditioning and thermostat control was much appreciated because we arrived during a very hot week, and the air conditioning made this even more of an oasis. We didn't realize the laundry was shared in a hallway with other units until the end of our stay. Everything was comfortable, and the decorating is simple and beautiful.
