- äußerst herzlich Gastgeberin, welche immer bei Rat und Tat zur Seite stand
- trotz direkter Nähe zur Kirche, hörte man keinen Glockenschlag

- Lage: in historischer Fußgängerzone (man fühlt sich zurückversetzt in ein italienisches Dorf wie aus dem Bilderbuch)
- Anbindung nach Rom: 10min fussläufig und ca.30min Fahrt
- Supermarkt direkt um die Ecke
- rustikale Einrichtung (dunkler als auf den Bildern)
- kostenloser Parkplatz um die Ecke: Koffer müssen ein Stück gezogen werden. Kein Kritikpunkt aber man sollte es wissen
- ganze Mückengitter wären toll

L'appartamento è molto accogliente, pulito, cucina molto accessoriata, con una bellissima vista sulla piazza del brodo di Ostia Antica. L'host è molto gentile, sempre reperibile, e fornisce tutte le informazioni richieste. Wifi funzionante. Appartamento molto silenzioso, piccoli ristoranti, bar ed un supermercato nelle vicinanze. L'auto si può parcheggiare appena fuori dal borgo nelle vicinanze, in alternativa vi si arriva facilmente da Roma con la metromare. Luogo MOLTO comodo per visitare gli scavi di Ostia Antica che si raggiungono a piedi.
Nella presentazione dell'appartamento sul sito di Booking e durante lo scambio di messaggi con l'host non viene detto che al primo piano si trova il soggiorno, un salottino con divano letto, la cucina, i DUE bagni (di cui uno en-suite), e che la seconda camera matrimoniale (che si trova al secondo piano sottotetto (senza bagni) - affiancata da un altro salottino sottotetto) è raggiungibile solo utilizzando una scala ripida che parte dalla prima camera da letto ... quindi non è una disposizione adatta a tutti, soprattutto se si desidera un po' di privacy. Infine, segnaliamo che il divano letto del soggiorno (120-130 cm) non è comodo, avendo materasso e/o rete piuttosto cedevoli.

Location. My wife and I were in Ostia Antica primarily to visit the archaeological site, and a bonus was that the apartment was within a 5 minute walk. The apartment is located on the second story and was clean and comfortable. Frederica stayed in-touch through emails, so we knew how to enter. The apartment looks out onto the church and the castle so there is a great view of essentially the entire borgo. And, the area was quiet, as there are no cars within the borgo walls.
We parked in a gravel parking area located off a street near the archaeological entrance across from the main porta. It took us a few minutes after we arrived and drove around for a while that this was the best accessible place to park. And, it was only about a 3 minute walk to the apartment. We noticed that the street parking was always full.
At night for dinners we found L'Alimentari, a restaurant which is located just outside the back porta. It has great food and friendly service. Best to go after about 7:30 pm. Or, there is a supermercato across from the main porta to bring back to the fully furnished kitchen.
We couldn't have found a better apartment or location in which to stay!
