Central location. Friendly & helpful staff
It was noisy. The noise from the reception was continuous with poor quality room’s door that had gap below it. There were ants in the bathroom.

The location of Hostal Alaska is amazing! Everything is within walking distance, metro station Sol is just a couple of steps away. The room and the bathroom are spacious. The staff is friendly, we asked for an extra duvet - no problem at all, however, they speak only Spanish. If you are a traveller whose needs are basic and you value location the most, then this is your choice.
We could hear everything from the reception area in the room as the soundproofing is not very good so using earplugs is a must if you’re a light sleeper.

The location is the main advantage of this property.the location was wonderful, within walking distance of popular tourist attractions, good restaurants, and public transportation.
The staff were great, friendly, and helpful. The beds were clean and comfortable, and the room was specious.
There is room for improvement in terms of cleanliness. We found hair inside the refrigerator and mould on the bathroom wall, although the beds and room itself were clean. The check-in process was also not very smooth or straightforward.
The overall experience would be more pleasant if at least an electric kettle and a microwave were available at reception for guests to use. We didnt have hoe water for one day out of 4 days staying in this property.
