Comfortable cabin but lacking somewhere to relax!

Very handy to Inverness. Property was spotless, well equipped with everything we needed, and bed very comfortable.

I realise that our cabin was probably for a family of four due to the double bed and two bunk beds. However, after a long day travelling it’s nice to have somewhere comfortable to sit and relax which your cabin unfortunately didn’t have. Instead of bunk beds we would have preferred a sofa/sofabed perhaps which could of course be used as a bed if needed.

No TV - No Oven - guests in cabin next door arrived at 2.30am in the morning and spent the next hour unpacking car and settling in resulting in not much sleep!

Disappointing

Very clean and well decorated. Beds were really comfortable.

It wasn't suitable for 4 people. To let the 4th person sleep you need to block doors so it's hard to get out at night with your dog. With 4 persons (2 adults and kids 4 and 13 and a dog) no space to put luggages and we needed to move it very often. No space to have a meal together. The worst was lack of soundproofing with the second cabin. The first night my husband asked neighbours at 1am to be quieter cause we would hear them as they would be just next to us. The second night they decided to stay outside without caring how noisy they were. At 1am we had to ask them to stop the noise cause even our kids couldn't sleep. It's a pity that the owner who lives just next doors didn't intervene. This cabin is made for one big family or group of friends not complete strangers. We were really happy to leave this place. Also hard to find.

Its a beautiful cabin with a really comfortable bed and its really cosy being inside,got given perfect directions to find the cabin with such beautiful surroundings.very very good communication with owners Everything was perfect,we didnt want to leave. Definitely gonna be going back.

No soundproofing between the two cabins meant you could hear every movement. Didn’t really bother me but may be an issue for some!

No where near the water

So, it is off the beaten path and no where near the water. We took a city bus which dropped us off a mile away and walked through a field, over two fences and a small creek. There is a busy motorway which we had to cross (no cross walk) and the place is no where near the water but behind a garage. We were due to stay two nights but opted to stay for one and headed back to town the second day.

Noise does travel from cabin next door but it wasn’t too much of a nuisance

Great base

Had a great time, very friendly owners super helpful. Perfect base for driving out to local attractions and just minutes away from retail park too which was handy. Dog friendly too. Everything you need for a cosy base and a very very comfortable bed. Garden area with table and chairs though weather prevented me from making use of these. Would book again and was aware no soundproofing between cabins when I initially booked and as was out most of the day time this wasn’t an issue for me.

Perfect hosts and location

We arrived at the cabin early but Maureen was so lovely and already had the cabin ready for us. The cabin was clean to a high standard and had everything we needed for our stay. The hosts even went out and bought an iron and ironing board when I requested to borrow one. The cabin was exactly how described in the advert so all expectations were met. We would 100% stay again and would recommend to our family and friends.

There was nothing we didn’t like but,the noise from the other cabin was a little much. If you get lovely understanding people in the next cabin you are onto a winner. Our first night was a little disrupted with noise but after that our neighbours were a lot quieter. If we were to stay again we would ask one of our family or friends to book the cabin next door so that we wouldn’t have the stress of noise in the adjoining cabin.

Lovely accommodation for a weekend away

The cabins were great! Very, very clean with lovely bedding and clean towels. Great location just outside of Inverness. Brilliant as a base for exploring Inverness and the highlands. Owners were lovely and very helpful with directions! Also dogs welcome, has a lovely enclosed garden to keep them safe.

It is very warm! We were there on a particular hot weekend in Inverness. Would be very comfortable in the winter months. It wasn’t an issue for us but just to be aware that it is a tight space to get in and out of the double bed at the sides. We crawled up the bed from the bottom. Not a big issue, as long as you don’t have any mobility problems.

Quiet, relaxing, close to retail park if needed, close to town centre Inverness and to Nairn beach. Owners very nice couple. Felt very safe in the location, daughter (6 years old) absolutely loved it, Well better than being in a hotel.

Amazing stay

Everything Excellent stay, extremely clean, very good facility for a couple with kids and a dog. Loads of games to play available in the lodge. Very polite owners also very good location. Lady prepared everything, many towels, shampoo, hand wash, very soft bedding. Our stay was amazing, definitely will be back there. Thank you Maureen and David 😀

Worth the money

Hosts were lovely and very welcoming. Very cosy cabin, ideal location, loved the privacy of the garden as we had a dog and could just let her straight out. Shower was very good too.

Not soundproof. You are considerarte of others next door and found ourselves whispering, but with two young kids it can be very difficult.

Lovely chalet with lovely hosts!

The chalet has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The hosts are a lovely couple who give you lots of advice on where to visit. Maureen keeps the chalets so clean and immaculately presented you could believe you are the first occupants. The chalet is very close to Inverness centre and also Culloden Moor which is a very poignant historical site to visit. A lovely relaxing weekend was exactly what we needed and this was a great base.

The only issue with this chalet is the lack of soundproofing, you can hear the other chalets occupants clearly. It would be perfect if you're with your a bigger party and could book both chalets together.
