Couples Retreat

Overall, I like my stay very much in this apartment & in Occoquan. If I could, I would give my stay 4.5/5 stars.-It was very clean with kind of a beach vibe to the decor.-There were 2 rooms (decent sized living room & bedroom).-There's a little table by a side window that gives you a great view of the river & bridge in the main pic for this listening. A GREAT view for when I was eating and/or on my laptop.-The mattress is a bit on the firm side.-Smallish shower only, no tub.-I could hear the people upstairs at times both evenings I was there.-The Occoquan Historic District is a wonderful little town with a bunch of little restaurants, stores, & a park along the river just North of town, all within easy walking distance.-Only thing close to a complaint I have (maybe this is because this was my 1st time using Vrbo) is...I saw stuff on Vrbo saying I should get check-in & check-out instructions 3 days before check-in. Evening of 2 days before check-in I sent a message to the host asking when I would get the instructions. After not getting a response, the evening before check-in I contacted VrboCare, who contacted the host, and found out I would get check-in & check-out instructions the day of check-in. Later that night the host messaged me saying this & as promised I got very detailed/good check-in & check-out instructions.-If there was something in the listing about getting check-in & check-out instructions the day of check-in, I would give this 5/5 stars easily!

Wonderful stay just what we needed, the onllly thing I would change is slightly larger coffee cups for the coffee maker. 10/10!

Cozy place, convenient to all the cute little shops and restaurants. Nice little porch with good view of the river. Hubby and I found an excellent respite, refreshing stay.

My mom was nice enough to get this spot for me and my boyfriend for a long weekend. I came home from California to see my nieces graduate, and brought the boyfriend home to meet family and see DC! The space was clean just didn’t seem “lived in” and it was cozy, but there were a ton of spiders where we were supposed to eat (I would have vacuumed them all up myself but I wasn’t opening any doors looking for a vacuum after seeing all of the spiders) and it took two days to have someone come and clean them out. We mostly stayed in the bedroom. The bed was a sleep number which was cool! But it was loud every time we moved. I love Old Town Occoquan so the location was great, right on the river. It’s right on top of an art gallery and next to the shops and restaurants.
