The hostel building is beautiful and well-maintained. You can cook in the hostel common spaces, but there are good restaurants at affordable prices. The island's architectural heritage is preserved in buildings, notably churches, chapels, and a "water architecture" associated with a centuries-old network of reservoirs and drinking water supply systems. Another characteristic feature of the island's landscape are the red-domed windmills, of Flemish inspiration, which bear witness to the abundant cereal production of bygone eras.
Don't drink the tap water; it's perfectly safe to drink, but the taste isn't pleasant. In the Azores islands, we have to get used to the fact that there are cockroaches. Therefore, it is likely to find them in open spaces.

A casa está de acordo com as fotos, muito bem recuperada. Muito bem localizada. Todos os funcionários muito simpáticos. Com áreas comuns muito agradáveis.
O WC cheirava um pouco a esgoto. O quarto é bastante pequeno.

Da es ein Hostel ist, gab es ungewöhnlicher Weise ein sehr günstiges Frühstück für 5 Euro. Es gibt dort auch eine Gemeinschaftsküche die voll ausgestattet ist wenn man sich selber etwas zu Essen machen möchte. Auch eine Klimaanlage für dier Zimmer die zum Innenhof liegen. Wird aber eigentlich nicht benötigt da es auf den Azoren sowieso zwischen 19 und 25 Grad hat. Die Lage ist sehr gut, nur wenige Minuten in die innenstadt. Dazu war es äußerst günstig.
Die Erreichbarkeit des Besitzers/Verantwortlichen war nicht so gut. Zwar war jemand zwischen 8 und 10 Uhr am Empfang bzw. hat das Frühstück bereitgestellt, sonst leider nur per Telefon oder über E-Mail
