Well equipped cosy cottage

One of the Best Stays of Our Entire Year on the Road Liz’s place was truly one of the best we’ve stayed in — and we’ve been slow traveling for nearly a year now. Marlin Cottage is incredibly thoughtfully stocked, with every detail considered. From the welcome tea service waiting for us when we arrived to the binoculars for birdwatching and local brochures, everything felt both useful and special. It had everything I’d expect at my own home, yet nothing felt cluttered. The cottage was absolutely spotless, the bed was super comfortable, and the whole space was a peaceful retreat. We especially loved the little back patio — perfect for a slow morning or an evening unwind. We felt at home here in the best way. Absolutely recommend booking through Sykes Cottages, and we definitely plan to return.

The staircase is super narrow, so you may need to unpack a bag downstairs… But there’s plenty of closet space.
