About this house rental
This retreat houses a lot of amenities for a relaxing and eventful stay. Before stepping inside, you’re greeted with a front porch swing and a game of baggo waiting for you.
The open concept home has a dining area and living room with a beautiful view of the Little Red River. On the first floor you’ll find the master bedroom with a queen bed, fully functioning kitchen, a combo bathroom and laundry room, the dining area, and living room with the perfect view of the Little Red River.
Upstairs you’ll find a loft area with a privacy curtain between a queen and 4 twin beds and a bathroom that opens up to a small, private deck.
When you’re not out on the river catching some prize winning trout, you and your family can enjoy the expansive back deck of The River Retreat that gives you a perfect view. Beside the deck are stairs that will lead you down to the river and a private boat dock. You can park your boat or fish off the dock during your stay.
The River Retreat is about 6 minute drive to the Barnett Access boat launch and fishing area and a 15 minute drive into the heart of Heber Springs where you’ll find restaurants, antique shops, boutiques, and a movie theatre. You can also rent kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards from sulphur Creek Outfitters, located next to Walmart. There are also award winning trails located nearby that are excellent for a hiked to explore nature on dry land.

We arrived late from long drive from Denver and the house was well lit. Headed to a wedding in Little Rock, stopped along way to enjoy some fly fishing on the Little Red and White rivers. Unfortunately due to heavy rains, fishing was canceled and regular releases from the Dam made it impossible to fish off the dock. Property is located on a fairly quiet street right on the river. Beautiful setting. Lovely neighbors. Great kitchen, back deck, and large living space to hang out. Great water pressure. A few maintenance items that need to be addressed. Broken wash machine, bath towels upstairs were stained. Upstairs queen bed squeaked badly and in need of new mattress and frame. Renters need to bring paper towel and trash bags if staying for more than 2 days.

The house is a fishing cabin with direct access to the Little Red. It's close to Heber Springs, so a short drive to services. Communication with the property manager was simple and easy.
