Beautifully restored Chico charmer built in1880 with high ceilings, hardwood floors, a relaxing front porch and private backyard with a gazebo, patio, and outdoor seating. This charming home has a newly renovated bathroom, three bedrooms, a nice, modern kitchen and dining room. Read a book on the spacious window seat in the living room. The house has comfortable beds and high thread count bedding. It is a five minute walk to Bidwell Park, downtown cafes, bars, City Plaza, and the Thursday night and Saturday morning Farmer's Markets. Walk the charming neighborhood to Chico's famous Shubert's ice cream shop or walk in Bidwell Park. Enjoy eating oranges from the two mature orange trees or make your own delicious fresh squeezed orange juice.

The Chico Charmer is a lovely little house with comfortable beds, a great patio area out back and a location that quiets down nicely at night. It's an easy walk to downtown food and drinks too! Clean, comfortable and near the park, it was a great base for our visit to Chico. We'll book again next time we're in that part of California!

My husband, Son and I came to see our Granddaughter/daughter compete in the first track meet of the year and found this little gem to stay in. We've stayed in MANY VRBO's over the years and this was one of the very best ! As a lover of old homes, I was so impressed with how beautifully restored this home was. Every detail looked original and this was by far the cleanest home we've ever stayed in. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was very well stocked (all the snacks provided were so appreciated) and the yard was just lovely. The only problem was we only got to be there for one night this time (we'll plan better next visit :) )Communication with both Annie and Kelsey was easy and they responded to us immediately when needed.We got to spend precious time with our Granddaughter and she took 1st place in her track event.....just a perfectly wonderful time ! Thank you for thinking of everything to make our visit so nice, we will be back very soon. Sincerely, Joyce and family

I was with a college friend, and we were visiting another friend in Chico. This house was sooo nice and fit our needs perfectly. We were there fro 108 degree weather and the house remained cool and pleasant. The host -- Annie was very responsive. the location was ideal.. near to downtown. Highly recommend.

This house was perfect location. We walked to the food coop and had breakfast across the street. We sat in the back yard for our breakfast coffee and tea. It was a great place to relax after a very structured weekend.

The house was spotless and the hosts were very responsive and friendly. A low battery alert on one of the smoke detectors our first afternoon there was addressed within 20 minutes and they checked in regularly by text with recommendations and just checking to make sure we had everything we needed. When unseasonal rain hit, the host brought umbrellas over and left them on the porch for us to use. Would definitely stay here again!

Several door knobs came off when simply pulled. The bathroom door was particularly worrisome- that we’d be trapped. Sprinklers in front went in automatically. There’s at least one broken one- flooded the yard

The “Chico Charmer” was just that, charming! We especially liked the patio for a drink in the evening and coffee in the morning. Very clean and well kept. We also appreciated the maps and info available in the dining room - ver helpful! We would definitely stay here again.

This little house is lovely. More room than just my husband and I needed, but very comfortable. The yard has a covered patio, that was great as we could sit there out of the rain. The kitchen is fairly well appointed with cookware and tableware. Walking distance to downtown and Bidwell park.

Came up to visit our daughter at Chico state. This house is beautiful. Easy walk to downtown. Has a very classic old school feel in perfect condition. Annie was great and quickly responded to any questions we had. Our daughter is a freshman so we will be coming back for a few years. This will be our go to spot. I doubt we will even look at other houses unless this one is booked.

This vintage home is beautiful and just what we hoped for; a comfy space while visiting our adult kids in Chico over Thanksgiving. Great location, close to everything you need, while not in the heart of it. The private outdoor space is a real plus. A bit of outdoor noise at times since the cross street is fairly high traffic, but nothing that would prevent another stay. Supplied well with towels, soap, etc. Annie was easy to communicate with and we truly had everything we needed.

A group of 6 girls stayed here for our sorority’s alumni weekend. The house is larger than the photos make it seem and it was extremely clean and had thoughtful touches. Everyone loved this place, and was an easy walk to most places. I am not sure why other guests think it was a long walk to places, but as the 6 of us went to Chico state we thought it was totally fine even in 40 degree weather. For example, the walk from this vrbo to the farthest bar, Riley’s, was less than 15 min. As well, we loved how many mirrors there were for when we were all getting ready. Would definitely stay here again!

The only issue was that it was a little further from downtown than we thought, so we needed an uber to get downtown to dinner. But otherwise it is a very cute home!

We loved our stay here! The house was picture perfect right on the corner of strollable neighborhood, we took a few walks and it was so charming.
