About this cottage rental
Located in the coastal village of Steinhatchee, Florida. Very near the Steinhatchee River and Gulf of Mexico. Excellent fishing on the grass flats of Dead Mans Bay or awesome hunting in Tide Swamp Management Area. Fishing tournaments every weekend. Scallop season Starts mid June and ends mid September. October through March we cater to those who want to spend their winters in Florida with reasonable monthly rates.
The space
This is a nice cute park model cottage. It is a set up for enjoying the coastal community activities. Very near the historic Roy's Seafood Restaurant. Very near the mouth of the River and the Gulf. Plenty of parking for multiple vehicles and boats. Very helpful and friendly host. We are pet friendly. Come enjoy.

Private cottage, Please Note, Holidays, Fiddler Crab Festival, July 4th, Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving requires a 3 night minimum reservation. All weekends require a 2 night minimum reservation. Quiet time observed between 10:00pm and 9:00am. Pets must be kept in crate while inside and on a leash while outside. Custom reasonable winter rates available, come stay the winter in Florida.

Steinhatchee has rebounded beautifully from the hurricane. The locals were their usual friendly selves. I will always return to beautiful old Florida.

Overall the stay was good. The kitchen could be better supplied. All of the dishes were not microwaveable and since this is the only cooking method this was not the best. Otherwise everything was as expected and we had a great trip.

Entry looked like it had previously
been broken into. Bathroom door jams wont close without forcing. Noisy air conditioner. Uncomfortable
mattress. Quaint cabin otherwise but in need of aforementioned repairs.
